I would leave a zero if I could. Stay far away from this company! We pretty much managed the job ourselves. Jobs had to be done multiple times and they even forgot to connect the drainage out to the street. The owner literally told us we needed to expect that and that they had 'other jobs' - he was extremely rude. We started this process in April - the final inspector came out to inspect the pool in October but the problem was the pool was not completed and the other inspections for electric, plumbing, etc. were never done! We are still waiting for the final inspection and it is January. They need to take the 'God Bless You' off of their voicemail.

I would highly suggest to not use this company. I made the mistake using them & had a bad experience as a whole. poor communication, workmanship, employees really don't care what the customer wants. A lot of items were left undone at my equipment pad, plaster was poorly done, water features don't work properly. List goes on. I've had nothing but problems with this "pool builder".I believe their supervisor has a big part of Nelson pools going down hill. Thanks to you Travis.

FIRED Retired from a lifetime in the construction industry, Shawn Nelson and his juvenile staff was the worse by far, after dozens of telephone calls and 3 written notices to complete the project that produced no results, the only alternative was to terminate the contract and find another pool company to help me FINISH and CORRECT all the problems that they created. I trusted Shawn Nelson - but don't be fooled - beware about a person that demands full payment before the project is 100% completed and on top of all that he was verbally abusive to my girlfriend.

A Nelson pools rep came to our house for measurements then we went to the office to pick materials and sort out cost. That was the last contact we had. No one ever followed up to see if we were interested in moving forward. After a month or two I called the office to see what the deal was. I left a voice mail because no one answered at 10am on a Friday (weird). The person who listened to my voice mail called to say she wanted to let me know she got my voice-mail and would speak to Trey then call me back after discussing with him.

It has been several days and I have not heard back. I appreciated the office personnel calling to say they received my VM and I am guessing they are not the issue. We were told when we were at their store that they could start in 3 weeks which was much sooner than any other pool builders were saying. I guess now I know why. It is hard to fill up your schedule when you don't actually call customers back.
