Kinderguard's self-closing and self locking gate was developed because of the need for a reliable and removable gate system. For years, the only way to enter a pool fence was to open the mesh fence using a spring loaded safety latch. Although this method is still in use today, a more convenient and efficient one was needed. After months of testing we arrived at our final design. This gate was so unique that it was granted a patent by the US Patent office. With thousands of gates in use it has become the gate of choice for homeowners nationwide.

The Kinderguard Pool Fence is a tension based system utilizing a series of 15 foot sections of fence, with inserts for mounting in non-conducting polyethylene sleeves that are diamond cut 4 inches deep into a concrete deck or other substantial surfaces. Each section of fence is attached at the top with a 2 inch brass safety hook with stainless steel springs.
