In 1988, after spending 12 years working for a local pool repair and service firm, Gulfcoast Pool Repair was created to cover the Lee County area with quality and dependable swimming pool and spa repairs. With 29 years in the pool & spa repair industry, we currently have done just about everything related to spas and pools, from minor repairs to very huge and complex renovations.

In 1980, Al Barnes along with his wife Vicky, daughter Tonya, and son Scott came to Florida to begin a pool business. Al Barnes who already had over ten years knowledge with pools achieved his Florida State Swimming Pool Contractors License and opened up Barnes Pools in 1982. At that time Barnes Pools was made up with only one truck and one helper.
