This place is a joke. Pam sold me a pump back in 2020. It died 7 months later and they issued a warranty replacement. A week ago it died again. Pam charged me $85 to come tell me they sold me a faulty pump. When I questioned her business ethics, she credited me $35! I never liked Pam and am happy to finally have an excuse to take my chemical business elsewhere and my new liner business. I'd give them a zero rating if it would allow me. Stay far away from this company.

Todd and Mike at TLC Pools have been helping me tend to my swimming pools needs for 19 years. I love that they have a great location, they are professional, fair and honest. They have helped keep my swimming pool clean and in top top shape for years so that my family and I can enjoy our swimming pool all season long! I wish I had read the reviews before I called this place to come and service my 2 year old pool. They asked for a credit card to be place on file which I did not have a problem with. The problem is they charged me for incomplete work. They came to clean the pool and did not finish the job because they said the motor STOP working (charge me for several hours of service). Months later they came out and replace the motor but overcharge my credit card.

I called them and they refunded me $100.00. Once they got the motor running they scheduled another cleaning. This time they did not finish the cleaning because they stated that my skimmer was clogged but they still charged me several hours of cleaning. I called another pool company and they showed me that the skimmer WAS NOT CLOGGED! and the water was flowing correctly. The other company got rid of the allergy and clean the pool in one day. I wish I could tell you the name of the other company. DON'T SAY I DID'T WARN YOU!

I went in yesterday requesting help for our above ground pool. I was completely dismissed and made to feel as though I was ignorant and a burden for seeking help from the experts with our pool issues. I left without spending a dime after the woman working said "Well, did the pool not come with instructions on how to take care of it?" As a business owner myself, that always attempts to shop small, I was astounded at the treatment I received and will not be back.

Have gone in twice more since my last review and the lady that works the register is simply thee worst in customer service. In my last visit, she said two things to me the entire time i was in the store. She said the price and thank you. That's it. No greeting no smile just drank her sprite and looked at the computer. The time before that I believe she said hi. If you know what you want, this place is fine. If you have questions or need help, I'd suggest Leslies

So I performed an experiment today. I went to Leslie's pool on Saturday in Woodstock to have my water tested. They said I needed about $300 worth of chemicals for my pool for it to be clear for summer. Then I drove directly to Leslie's pool in Roswell, same container of water, they tested my water and told me completely different results. Tried to sell me over $200 worth of chemicals different ones.

The common thing they wanted me to use was alkalinity up. 30 lbs at Woodstock and 25 lbs at Roswell. Went home and threw in 15 lbs and let it run through overnight. Next morning pool looked great. Took water down to TLC and had my water tested. Crazy thing they said my water was perfect. Sold me nothing. Guess I know who I am trusting now. Thank you TLC for your honesty and I will be back.

Went to TLC today and spoke with Pam. She helped me to determine what I would need for my pool as a start up. Very helpful. Talking to my husband abot having them work on our pool weekly. She managed to help me while ground maintenace man came in wanting help immediately. I am giving them 5 stars because he was so rude and she kept her composure while trying to deal with him. By the way I did not buy anything because I told her I wanted to talk to my husband first. She wrote everything down and I told her I would be back. AND I WILL!

I am so sad that owner died a few months ago. he was a a five star operation and Bill had 5 stars all the way. I tried to give the new owners the benefit of the doubt and wow they really disappoint. So your aware the new owner does not care at all. I had a guy come in and replace a pump did not even bother to fill up the hot tub to see if work, and wow it does not work when I call to ask why?

The response " they were like sorry we replace the pump they don't do anything else". I asked the about the filter, and was told he was not knowledgable on how they work really? OMG. Your job is to fix hot tubs. yikes. I am so sad but I am sure Bill is rolling his grave this is what was left of the company. I will be looking for a new service company. Shameful! My guess they will be out of business in 6 months. TCL was awesome for 10 Plus year just show how a new crappy service can ruin a company.

I have worked with Mary, Greg, and Bill throughout my time with needing pool advice/service/equipment etc and I can say between their quick response time, analyzing/fixing the problems, and fair pricing they are the best around! I've also picked up a big yeti cooler and some cups from the store. I will work with them as long as I have a pool. Thanks for going above and beyond y'all! -Tate-

TLC Pools sells more than Pools and Spas. Green Egg and the needed supplies to make your cook out amazing. We use ours summer and winter and the specialty spices are fantastic. The real go-to for gifts at this store is the collection of YETI products including customized versions. I purchased 3 recently. I shared with Mary what I was planning to do with monograms using a digital cutter and asked which surfaces might adhere better to the vinyl. Very helpful and shared lots of information regarding the styles, lids and other products in the line. Going back this week for holiday shopping!

Please don't waste your time or money here. They are EXTREMELY RUDE and have TERRIBLE customer service. I went in looking for a part and the owner literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked for it, and then one of her female employees asked me if they were closing my pool. When I said "no" she told me they didn't the part I needed because "they were on the trucks with the guys who were closing pools for their customers".

We just moved into the area and they are extremely convenient to our house but I WILL NEVER spend a single penny in this store since clearly they don't need my business. It's ridiculous that people can treat customers like that and get away with it. It's ironic that their name is TLC because clearly they are incapable of offering that!

Mary is terrific! I am a new pool owner and my pool was a green swamp when I opened it in early June. 10 days later, it was blue and swimmable thanks to Mary's advice and guidance. Since then, I have been able to maintain the pool on my own by carrying in a water sample every 1-2 weeks. Kudos and thanks to TLC for being my pool partner.

For my first online review of any business ever - Want to give a big shout out to the owner of this place. In World Record time, she became the most obnoxious, loud, high-browed, and rude business owner I've ever met. While speaking to one of her helpful and thoughtful employees about purchasing a green egg, we were interrupted at least three times due to her screeching at someone else.

She was asked one simple question, and with a quick cut of her eyes at me, she nodded and proceeded to speak to him about "phosphates" - completely dismissing me. Wow. wish you could've been there. The guy tried to be apologetic; "She's the owner and she's just loud" he explained earlier. Well, as a soon-to-be pool owner (in about a month), I want to say THANK YOU to whoever you are. You just saved me a ton of grief and aggravation. Better to find out now what kind of person runs this place. Whew.

Pros: pool was never green. When we left town on short notice, they were able to send someone out daily to empty skimmers since it was fall. Cons: First and foremost if you choose this company, you'll be dealing almost exclusively with "Mary". Mary chooses what she would and would not like to hear when you speak to her. I used this company for regular maintenance on the pool in the house we just moved into.

They don't show up the same day or time each week- it's whenever they feel like it. Honestly that's not a problem if they actually did great work. Mary insists that theirs are the best prices in town. Not true. They gouge you for chemical charges on top of the average service charge. Our heater broke. I called Mary and she says "oh, no problem!

We will send out a repair person". No one showed, had to keep calling them. Then the guy finally shows and says "yeah we don't fix heaters". Thanks for the waste of time, Mary. Called her to tell her that she shouldnt be telling people they fix heaters when in fact they do not. Hey, maybe she didn't know. Next, pool losing water. Mary kept me on the phone for over 30 minutes telling me that it's just evaporation. She's never been to my house, seen my pool or spoke with our service person before dishing out this information that she again had no business being involved in.

All I wanted was someone to evaluate it during our next service. Finally able to catch our service guy."yeah, we don't detect leaks." Great. Winter rolls around. We aren't sure what to do with our pool during the winter as this is our first time having a pool in the cold weather. We asked our service guy for advise on what to do to make sure we don't freeze any pipes.

His answer, "whatever you want". No help at all. The straw that broke the camels back was that we sprung a leak around the pump site. Service guy left us a note saying "pump lost prime, leak around heater". This note continues over our next few service visits- same note, no plan, no advice, no repairs. Finally decide to fire them so I call Mary- she was very rude and asked me why I wanted to cancel.

I told her about the repairs needing to be done and right away before she even asked my name, she says "well, we can make those repairs!" You have to be kidding me. Then she asked for another reason we were switching away from them and I said that I found someone cheaper. Before doing any research, she practically shouts at me, "You probably hired someone who isn't even licensed if it's cheaper than us!" FYI she hadn't even asked who we hired before she berated them. Now to see if they continue to charge my card.

I met Bill yesterday for an orientation to a hot tub we inherited. Having dealt with many types of companies, you know when you meet people how you feel about the company and if you would call them again: we'd call TLC again when we need help in the future. He was professional, friendly, and informative. He never once tried to up sale us or pressure us. In fact, he provided options where we should do things to save money. We appreciated his help.

I went there first thing in the morning and was waiting in my car for them to open. One of their distributors was making a delivery. I saw one of the owners come out and scream in his face. I didn't hear it all but the delivery driver wasn't the one being confrontational. I have NEVER seen owners of a business in the SERVICE industry treat someone this way.

As a customer that has shopped there very on and off I have witnessed other "short" behavior and rudeness to other customers. This last time pushed me over the edge. These two owners Will and Mary are extremely disrespectful, money hungry, and mean spirited people. They think they are above everyone and HELLO, THEY ARE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. I urge everyone considering shopping with them to go elsewhere. Anyone other than them is deserving of your hard earned money.

First impressions due really matter. My first impression about this company was subpar when first called to set up appt. Felt that I was bothering the attendant regarding inquiries of services provided; short and bothered by questions. Told by Bill that a call with a 2 hour window on the day of the appt will be made. Well, it never happened. Instead, a message was left in our voice mail stating arrival 30-45 mins.

It never happened. One and a half hour later a call was placed and informed that because no call back was made, the technician went to another job. Informed Bill that no message requesting a call back to confirm was left. He agreed to this but never apologized. He remained defensive and basically stated that no such mention about the two hour window was made.

The conversation remain short since he gave me the impression that it was my fault. An appt for later in the day was offered but I politely declined the offer based on the above facts. The bottom line, customer care is important. This company lacks such attributes at least by the above telephone experience. With other choices available, I am not dealing with this company.

TLC just replaced the vinyl liner on our pool and we couldn't be happier with the process from start to finish. Mary was extremely helpful with the design selection, and Bill and his helper were responsive and efficient in starting and completing the job in a timely manner. I highly recommend this service. We will definitely be using TLC for future repairs and service.

Always very friendly great service guys best I've dealt with in east cobb. I have used ten for the last 3 yrs I had small issues few yrs ago which was my fault and they went out of their way and ate the labor for it. Thanks.

After dealing with another pool company for 2 weeks, I emailed TLC on a Friday night, Bill called me Saturday. Henry came out on Monday and was very helpful and friendly. Suggested what needed to be done and came back out the next day with the equipment to do it. Straightforward, honest and VERY helpful. Bottom line is my pool works now and it didn't cost me a fortune. Should have called them first!

There are not enough stars to rate TLC Pool. I have been a customer for 15+ years. If I call them, they answer the phone and are there to help me. If I need my water tested, they test it, as a courtesy, and they give me the best breakdown, of the pool's needs, in greater detail than any other pool company in the area. As a result of their Loyal Customer Service - I am a Loyal Customer.

They don't oversell and they don't undersell. As a customer, I don't take advantage of their kindness. TLC has helped me out of numerous pool issues. They are in business to serve the community. In this economy, we need local businesses to thrive in order for the public the achieve a certain amount of wellness. I am glad and thankful that TLC is 'Right Around the Corner'. Save yourself the hassle and some money, http://www.yelp.com/biz/aaa-pool-and-spa-service-inc-marietta TLC quoted me $400 to fix our hot tub and AAA fixed it for $105 which included $100 service call. TLC's Bill told me I never asked him to address the leak (really.why would I make a service call and NOT tell them about a leak). He also said that it took his tech so long to find the problem that he should have charged me more money than the $90 service call, even though he only addressed part of my problems.

They did not come when they said they would, did not call to tell me why and I had to call them back to schedule the call again. I had gone into the store a few weeks earlier and asked about ordering a part to install myself and Bill was very condescending, said the installation of this part would be complicated, all kinds of things could go wrong, blah blah blah. Ordered the part online and it took me about 15 minutes to install (I am a 51 year old woman who has never done anything like this before, ever. I guess this is why TLC has to sell big green eggs.

I bought a hot tub from them a few years ago. The installer was great. Fast forward to last weekend. I went in to have my pillows in the hot tub replaced. Mary was rude to myself, my husband and her employee. When we called to ask if they ordered the parts she replied that she will not order my parts until she gets a big order in. That could take months or a year.

My husband asked her to send back the pillow we left there. She replied i do not have the time, and i will not spend the time and money to go to the post office. Mary is the rudest person i have dealt with ever. That is such poor customer service. How do they stay in business? She also hung up on my husband. Remember I bought a spa from them and we were still treated so awful

Purchased a Big Green Egg from TLC back in 2008 and just recently the firebox cracked. I took the cracked firebox back to them and Mary was able to get it replaced under warranty while I waited. I try to support friendly small businesses over the impersonal big box stores and service like this is why I do.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO THIS COMPANY! They will bill you whatever they want, and you will spend months disputing charges to no avail. Horrible work! Horrible customer service! Absolutely the WORST pool service company in the state!

Bill from TLC pools came out to do an inspection on a pool on a home that I was going to purchase. He was on time, thorough, and completely kind. So was Mary when I was handling the appt. I was quoted a price, and that is what I was charged. I would highly recommend this company.
