At Swimco Pools, Inc, we understand that deciding which company you want to have install your inground swimming pool can be a difficult one. Founded by Chuck Papke and co-owned with Jim Mahoney, Swimco Pools has been a family owned operation since 1973.
In all of our pool construction, we use top quality panels which carry a Lifetime guarantee. These panels are embedded into concrete and secured with our exclusive bracing system. Depending on ground conditions, our braces are spaced every 3 to 5 feet and then more concrete is added to each brace. Our reputation for superior construction and service have provided our customers with a product which they consistently recommend to their friends. All plumbing in the Swimco Pools installation is hung under the 6 top ledge of the pool.
The pool liner is an essential part of an swimming pool. The pool liner acts as a barrier between the water and the foundation of the pool. We just had our pool installed with Swimco (May 2022) and my wife and I are absolutely delighted with the results! If you are looking for an experienced and professional company who will take care of your property during the installation process look no further! Absolutely, no sales tactics or games being played here. Jim Mahoney along with his sons, were very patient in our education as we were not letting just anyone have our business.
We researched, spoke to references and in the end the decision to go with Swimco was a no brainer. Jim helped with our design and layout and his sons made it happen with their entire team. And it is a team.every employee knows their role and from the start of digging to completion and they operate with such efficiency! Plus, not to mention, you will notice top notch equipment, trucks, excavators, concrete trucks, and trailers arriving at your premises all looking new and nicely maintained!
Their subcontractors (electrical, concrete, fencing) all have been with them for a lengthy amount of time and all were just as professional, timely, and courteous on each visit! We really enjoyed watching the transformation take place in our backyard. We are also looking forward to doing business with them going forward with future openings and closings.
It was really nice dealing with such a professional company and we want to thank them again for all their attention to detail! This is truly a 5 star company all the way and they really understand how to deliver customer service! I built my house in 1999 and installed my pool in 2000, it is now 2022. We needed up grades of course like anything else. When removing the linar it looked almost orginal, thats 22 years later. My service has been spot on for 22 years my pricing has been more then fair. Great service and great installation. Almost a quarter of a century to be consistant says volumes about this company and the owner. I highly recommned them!

At the end of June 2019, my husband and I had already met with four different pool companies and had one more pool company to go. With a major purchase like this, we wanted to make sure that we received the best product from the most reliable company. We THOUGHT that we had pretty much knew which one we were going to go with, but we wanted to make sure that we did an extensive search and had made an appointment with one last company.
In the first week of July, Mr. Mahoney, the owner of Swimco pools came to our house to meet with us to discuss details of the in-ground pool that we had prepared for both financially and aesthetically since 2018. Mr. Mahoney was on time and had been in regular contact with us from the first call we made to set up a date and time to meet. During our consultation, Mr. Mahoney clearly explained the processes involved in the installation of an in-ground pool.
He went over the materials and colors that were available and advised us on which to choose based on our wants and needs. He also broke down the pricing in an itemized list which included the pool, the pool parts, the pool equipment, the concrete, and a fire pit that we opted for. At the end of our meeting with Mr. Mahoney, there was no hesitation in our decision. Mr. Mahoney had made my husband and me feel confident that Swimco was the one to go with.
His transparency, honesty, experience, and evident knowledge in this field gave us the assurance to go forward and sign the contract right then and there. Although the price was a little more than some of the other companies' quotes, we knew that we were getting quality service and quality materials. We had no doubt that it would be worth it upon completion.
Because of Covid and the delays that it caused nationally and world-wide, our pool installation was scheduled to begin in July of the following year (2021). We understood the reason behind this, but I must admit, it was a little nerve-racking because it was such a long time away. Who knew what could happen within a year's time? Well, Swimco pulled through and kept their promise and installation began on time.
We cannot say enough about the employees at Swimco. They arrived early every morning and did not leave until early evening. They worked tirelessly in the 80 degree heat with barely any breaks. The entire crew was amazing. Each one of them were always professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their products and the installation process. They were patient with all of our questions and made sure that we knew what was happening daily.
It was very clear that Mr. Mahoney runs a tight ship and hires only the most competent employees. They cleaned up before they left every day and left the yard spotless. We even attended "Pool School" in which Jacob, an amazing and very knowledgeable employee showed us all the ins-and-out of taking care of our new pool and how to use the pool equipment and accessories properly.
I don't know what we would have done without Jacob's expertise! He was fantastic! One of the most important things that we were looking for when choosing a pool company was open communication. We had heard horror stories of others who could not get in touch with the pool company once their pool was finished and paid for. From the very beginning to the closing of our pool, Swimco has provided excellent communication.
Our phone calls and texts were answered almost immediately and our concerns were addressed or our questions were answered quickly and efficiently. They honestly make you feel as if you are their only customer. I would (and have) recommended Swimco to anyone interested in purchasing an in-ground pool. If you are shopping for a pool, look no further! THIS IS THE COMPANY TO GO WITH! I was beyond impressed with the efficiency of the installation, the end result (an AMAZING pool), and the options that were given to me for the design of the pool. I could write on this page for days and not be able to convey the personal attention that I was given to make sure that I was getting the end product that I wanted. Oddly enough, I wasn't sure what that end product should look like, but Jim was the perfect (and patient!) guide, who presented all my options.
He really cares! That is rare and invaluable. I can't tell you what an awesome experience this was. My "end product" is more than I ever hoped for, and that's all because of Jim. SwimCo Testimonial Sales Process: My wife and I met with several different pool companies and what stands out about SwimCo is the straight-forward, friendly manner from Jim when he was explaining the process. The was no pressure applied to sign with him, he was clear, honest and direct. He was a gentleman and we really appreciated his approach. After speaking with other families that had used SwimCo, they spoke highly of the service and only had good things to say which was VERY different than folks who did not use SwimCo.
We spoke with about 10 families who used various companies and SwimCo was the only one with all positive feedback. Jim set our expectations that once digging started, the process would be approximately 10-15 days. He put our minds at ease that he would manage the entire process and had high quality relationships with other companies for concrete, fencing, electrical, masonry, etc. SwimCo has a reputation of high-quality products and great customer service which is a key reason we selected them as our pool company.
One of my biggest concerns was damage to my stamped concrete driveway, Jim didn't guarantee they wouldn't cause damage but said he would do everything possible to mitigate the risk. Thankfully, the driveway survived the heavy machinery due to the attention of Jim and his team! We have many other pools going in around the neighborhood and almost all have the sidewalk completely destroyed.
What we know that we didn't understand during the sales cycle: The feedback we received from several of our friends who used other companies, some have vinyl and others have gunnite pools, was the critical importance of getting stone backfill opposed to dirt for all of the areas around the pool. Using stone or dirt backfill is not an option for SwimCo as they use only stone backfill; this speaks to their commitment to quality.
The issue with dirt backfill around a pool is that dirt settles over time and the concrete patio will be damaged years after the initial build. The SwimCo operation runs as a team and the tight coordination between all parties is evident. They do not dig a hole and disappear for weeks on end. From the time construction begins until the pool is ready, there is not a lot of down time.
From digging the pool, backfilling with stone, the concrete patio, electrical and then pool bottom and finishing touches, the process is seamless and incredibly impressive. SwimCo employees and contractors and each company they do business with are professional and all have exceptional customer service. The product: The pool SwimCo installed has exceeded our expectations.
The concrete installed by Real Help Concrete is amazing and complements the pool and spa. The pool fits perfectly into the limited space we had available and has turned our backyard into a gathering place our family will enjoy for years to come. Other: We expected to have to redo our entire in ground sprinkler system, the SwimCo team did a great job and my system in intact and that is due to the professionalism of SwimCo and how they were precise in their digging. Negatives: There really were no negatives during this entire process and that includes closing and opening. Swimco is a great company to work with and we highly recommend them!

Had our pool installed 5 years ago. Jim, James and crew were amazing! James spent a couple hours patiently going over different choices and Jim actually went out of the way to meet me and a place to buy a shed/pool house. I don't recommend many businesses, I won't put my name behind a business unless they really derserve it, but Swimco is one of those businesses that I can and will put my name behind. Thank you for all that you do, Swimco!
