Critical: Professionalism Called to have someone come out to evaluate our pool and was told in is a $219 nonrefundable deposit to come out. OBSCENE! ROBBERY! Not my business!

Called and spoke about coming from Jacksonville for a floor model Spa. After sending over a written quote from a competitor company, I was assured that they would offer me a good price "Because we just got in 14 spas and Mr. Swain is motivated to sell" and that since we would be paying cash, we could get a good deal. well, i finally got in a written quote for the 2021 floor model spa for. get this. 21,500.

My estimate from a dealer closer to Jacksonville on a 2022 model was 16,500. now this included some discounts for paying cash as well, but that's a massive difference. Mind you, that was before the $900 delivery as well, which I was ok with because of the distance, so it would have actually been over 22k for a 2021 model spa that retails new for 18,500. WAY OVERPRICED! Sorry Heather, but Mr. Swain must not have been as motivated as you thought he was per our conversation.

No one contacted me back. Revised 3-24-22. I was contacted by Swain and they apologized for not contacting me earlier. Evidently my email to them went into their spam file. 3 stars for them was that they contacted me, but their prices are very high compared to other places.

Swain cleans my parents pool weekly and does a great job! They show up prepared in a full size cargo truck so they can even do repairs if needed. Much more professional than others that I've seen in disorganized pickups. Update: Had the liner changed and new filter system installed. It is now non chlorine and looks great!

I have been utilizing Swain's Pools & Spas for over ten years. I've never had anything but excellent service. This recent experience was no exception. They identified the problem quickly, had the part in stock, had it delivered and fixed it on the spot. Great service that is typical of every experience I've had. Swain Pools is awesome! They did a total remodel of our pool and pool deck, and it looks amazing. They were professional, diligent, responsive, and always on time. Our pool had some unusual issues and they were creative and smart in solving those problems. We couldn't be happier and we highly recommend! Company is a disgrace. Took advantage of my wife. Who is home while I am geographically separated due to military service. Didn't fix anything that was called out for initially then still charged us $700 for a chemical treatment. Still have a broken light and still have a leaking pool pump. 100% do not recommend. I love how they respond and there is no way to respond back so I'm adding this disclaimer in response to their comment.

Why would my wife ask for you and your team to come back out after charging us 700 for nothing. She found the pool pump leak.you literally did nothing, fixed nothing and the only time she didn't call you back was when we both were in Jacksonville for my grandmothers funeral. You, the owner came to the house and acted sympathetic only to rip us off. You say charges for services? You didn't do anything that warranted a $700 bill.period.

The worst most expensive pool service. Where do I start? I called them they said they'd come out later in the week. 7 days later No one showed up. I called back she said I had to consent to the service- I sent a consent via email. She said they'll be there the next day. By then my pool was getting kinda green. They don't show up again!

I call again - they said they'd be out the next day. The come - charge me 90$ of chemicals blue $69 monthly fee ( to clean the basket and the filter? Really). Yo top it off the leave the back gate open. I have dogs. So then the pools better- not perfect but better. I use it and my hair turns bright green! I let them know and they say "it's the chlorine " Really!

All pools have chlorine and isn't that why I'm paying this company to check and measure the chemical?!? No I'm sorry nothing. To make it worse I called and let them know I wasn't happy with paying $170 in 1 week and not having a clear pool. Who knows how many dollars of chemicals they could use in 3 weeks! Not to mention the cost of getting the green out of my hair.

You know when they said? Not what can we do to make it better, not I'm sorry - I got ok we'll close your account and send u the bill. Good riddance- don't use this company unless you want them to siphon money out of your pocket. You Will be nickel and dimes to death. 1/5 rating on Angie's list says it all- " beware of crook" state several customers. He obviously writes all the good reviews.

The office staff (Joe, Ashley and Heather) are very knowledgeable and helpful when providing information on the various options available for above-ground pools. Jeff Swain was very professional and helpfully creative when discussing plans for the pool setup, deck and stadium steps. The workmanship throughout the entire process was excellent, from the concrete slab under the pool, to the finished deck. We could not be happier with our pool. Thanks Jeff and staff.

Pluses. Great quality spas with good sales knowledge and repair support. Minuses. Lack of accessories and service staff. Go elsewhere for small items.

I initially had some issues with this company but, after complaining about the problem, they made it right. They called me promptly after my complaint - that my requested pool service was not provided on time and I did not hear back from them when I emailed asking for an update on service. After some discussion, they figured out that there was a problem with their new payment system.

They apologized for the error and for the scheduling issues. They also refunded my money and still provided the service for free. They were courteous despite my obvious frustration and did a great job getting my pool back in shape ASAP.

Glenn & I couldn't be happier with our new spa! We use it every night and it has made a tremendous difference for us. The staff at Swain Pools were thorough, informative and listened carefully to what we were asking for. Their follow up has been exemplary. We recommend them highly for any service you might need.

The folks at Swain Pools and Spas are the best in the business. We were so pleased with our service when we lived in Tallahassee, that we paid a substantial premium to have Swain Pools and Spas handle the design and installation of our new spa, in Virginia. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Wanted 200$ deposit unrefundable, to just do a simple estimate. No other pool company in the area requires this. Also took 4-5 days and never responded to email.
