Sundancer Pools has a wealth of resources available when it comes to creating a rendering of your new back yard. You have just arranged for the construction of a new swimming pool and or spa. It will be the source of many enjoyable, fun-filled hours of family fun, exercise, and pleasure. Constructing a pool in your backyard can be inconvenient. There is noise (quite a bit at times), construction equipment damaging the landscaping in the access, workers coming and going, and a hole in the fence.
Shortly after we reach our agreement for building your pool, a formal "swimming pool plot plan" will be drawn to meticulous detail. It will show all the details of construction as we have previously agreed upon. It usually requires about one day to complete these detailed plans. All pertinent specifications should appear on your plan.

We recently began the process of getting quotes for a complete backyard remodel and pool build from various contractors. With Sundancer, we had the wonderful opportunity of working with Marc for our consultation and design through a recommendation of a neighbor. We came to the meeting with a fairly clear design of what we were wanting and Marc listened to the details and understood our vision.
He provided feedback where needed and suggested subtle improvements that would enhance the design. Because of Marc's attention to detail and eagerness to listen and answer questions, we chose Sundancer for our pool build and backyard remodel. Shanyn, who works in the main office, is also wonderful and extremely helpful. We are excited to start the next adventure of the permitting and building process. I will continue to update this review as the process continues, but we only expect the positive trend to continue.

We contacted many companies during the summer of 2020 to help us build our pool. The unique thing about our pool was that we wanted it on the bank (up high). A few requirements for us were 1) Company has been around for longer than 2-3 years (for any warranty issues), 2) Most of their workers are employees of the company (not 3rd party contractors), 3) Responsiveness. Robby came out and listened to what we wanted and Sundancer came up with the best plan and an awesome idea for a vanishing edge that doubled as a water fall on the lower level.
I enjoyed working with Robby throughout the whole process. He responds to texts even at odd hours when I had some ideas to bounce off him. Because of the demand, our pool didn't get started until end March of 2021 and we started filling water July 29th of 2021. I thought it was great progress considering the demand and supply shortage.

We have worked with a lot of contractors over the past decade or so - moved into new builds a few times over, so we have lots of experience doing the landscaping/pool/etc from scratch. Everyone knows how difficult it can be sometimes working with contractors, but that was not our experience with Marc and his Sundancer team. They met or exceeded our expectations on every level.
From start to finish, Sundancer really impressed. Marc went out of his way a number of times to step up and take over work that should have been covered by our other contractor that was also working on site, but they wanted to nickel and dime us to death, so I would just ask Marc to do it instead. Sundancer is well below cost compared to some higher priced contractors out there, and their work is every bit as good or better.
They were always on time when it came time to do their part, which was not only the pool, but around 3400 square feet of pavers on a sand base, stucco walls, drainage, grading, and the list goes on. This was far and away the least stressful, most pleasant experience we have ever had, and the results speak for themselves. We are thoroughly enjoying all of Sundancers hard work as a family on a daily basis. You will not find a better contractor in the San Diego area. Thanks Marc and Sundancer!

We had Sundancer Pools come out and give us an estimate. We called several companies, but by the time the others started calling us back, we had already had our on-site consultation and had received an estimate! It wasn't cheap, and we may not be able to swing it, but if we do proceed, Sundancer would be our first choice. Responsive, professional, and personable.

We have been enjoying our pool for six weeks now and are so happy with the results. We had a difficult yard to work with (and some difficult weather to deal with) but Marc and his crew were fantastic throughout. Great communication and attention to detail. We got three other bids and they came in with the lowest price and the best plan. We made some changes along the way and they worked with us to make sure we got just what we wanted.
We are happy to endorse Sundancer and their whole team. When it comes time for the masons to show up, cross your fingers you get Ricardo and his crew. They were a pleasure to work with as they put the finishing touches on the project.

Great work from start to finish. We had our pool constructed earlier this year and the process and price were great. Service and changes were always right there and handled on the spot. When we needed advice, Marc was always there with it and right on, and it came out fantastic. I highly recommend them.

Our large, deep pool hadn't been remodeled since 1964, it was a mess! Sundancer did an incredible job thanks to Marc Correll and his crew, as you can see in the before and after photos. He maintained the retro character of our pool, decks and property, whilst updating everything to the latest technology. From day one Marc had amazing ideas. We had been struggling figuring out what to do with a row of old telephone poles, thinking we'd need to build an expensive retaining wall. Marc had the genius idea of simply replacing the damaged poles and building a low retaining wall in front.
This retains the charm of our quirky property, we love it and get so many compliments on how cool it looks. Our project was a complete backyard and pool remodel including: - old poolhouse demo - new concrete decks everywhere - rebuilding/concreting upper patio - install decorative aged brick on all paths & patios - tearing out all old landscaping - install two stairwells with lighting - beautiful waterfall wall & 4 deck jets (mitigate freeway noise) - pool lighting, saltwater, solar, plastering & tile - all new pool equipment & plumbing - long retaining wall all down one side of large lot - building three raised planter beds (one with cool curved wall) - creating hot-tub nook with electrical hookup - and more!
And yes that's an airstream in one of the photos. it's our guest house, for which Marc built a concrete pad and liaised with our plumber on the installation of water, sewer and electric. He even helped to get the Airstream in place, which was quite an event! We planned and managed the project ourselves, and Marc had endless patience and good humor with our often changing ideas, always coming up good solves or alternatives we hadn't thought of - literally nothing fazed him.
With a project this size we hit some bumps along the way, which was to be expected - Marc communicated clearly to manage our expectations, and was always fair about everything. By the end he had become a good friend, he's just a great guy. Bottom line - I can't recommend Sundancer highly enough, and the photos really don't even do justice to how amazing our back yard is. People come over and say "wow it's like a resort back here" because it is!

While we have not decided on a company to build our pool just yet, I felt compelled to write a review for Sundancer. Shanyn has been so pleasant and easy to work with on the phone. She's been easy to reach via phone or text regarding our appointment. Dave, the owner, came and took measurements and got our ideas and submitted a quote to us in a reasonable time. We still have to make a decision between about 5 companies, but the icing on the cake from Sundancer was a personalized thank you for even considering them. So nice!

After deciding not to build a pool last year because the company we were working with kept trying to oversell us, we decided to give SunDancer pools a try and gave Marc a call. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Marc is a pro. He's an expert at designing pools and patios, and super flexible and easy to work with. Marc is always available to answer our questions via phone / text and frequently stopped by to make sure everything was going as planned.
The SunDancer team and contractors were all amazing. They work fast and their attention to details (especially Eduardo and the masons) was very much appreciated. Our project finished on time and budget, even with several changes and last minute additions. Thanks Marc and SunDancer for building the perfect pool for our property.

WOW! Three little letters that can't express how impressed we are with the Sundancer team. Our 30-year-old pool needed some serious love, and Robby came in with some great ideas to solve some serious issues that we hadL He came up with a new design to make our lackluster backyard look amazing! Over a period of five weeks, we had no less than six crews out here, often with 15 workers at a time to push through our job.
Every one of the team members was professional, courteous, and hard-working. Robby's attention to detail and to helping us solve unexpected issues during the job resulted in an amazing end result. We would highly recommend Sundancer over and over again! We are looking forward to Phase 2 next year when we replace the rest of the pool deck and finish our outdoor living area. I would have posted this review earlier, but I was hoping to get more landscaping done first. I will have to update with final photos once it's all done!

Sundancer Pools did an amazing job with our new pool. Their Project Manager Marc Correll expertly navigated us through what could have been a very stressful build. He was very professional and skillfully managed his crew throughout the entire process. Little time was wasted from start to finish. I needed to get my pool remodeled and got 4 bids. Sundancer Pools was by far the best. Marc came to our house and spoke with us. My husband immediately liked him the best. He was confident and knowledgeable, but not in an arrogant way. The process was seamless. Marc was great at communicating. His crews are great. His tile crew spent 10 to 12 hours everyday at my house even in the rain with a tarp over them cutting tile in the cold rain.
They did a great job. They didn't try and sell us things but were very honest and forthcoming. I will definitely use them again when I get my concrete work done. Thank you Sundancer Pools! I would recommend them and I am a very detailed person that wants the best work.

We are very happy we decided to go with Marc Correll and Sundancer Pools! I had a good feeling about Marc from our first meeting, and seeing other reviews helped confirm my first impression. Here are some things I appreciated about Marc: ~ I didn't feel any sales pressure from him. ~ He helped work with our budget. ~ He is very knowledgeable about pools and helped make our pool vision happen (good ideas about what would work, and what wouldn't). ~ He always responded in a timely manner. ~ Marc is a nice person, easy to work with, and trustworthy. ~ His crew was wonderful too- hard working and great craftsmanship. I would HIGHLY recommend Marc and Sundancer Pools if you are considering putting in a pool.

Marc and his team did a great job and it was a pleasure working with all of them. Marc was the first guy we contacted for our backyard project and we felt comfortable with him so we didn't even bother about other quotes. He came up with a good design and things started happening really fast. Marc was always available for questions and changes in this very dynamic construction were never a problem.
Where Sundancer really shines imho is: their contractors and employees who make it all come true. Esteban, juanitos and their team were amazing - weekends, over 100F these guys were wonderful. Plumber, electrician.all of them hard working honest people and I enjoyed watching them work just as much as I enjoy my pool now. We ran into some financial problems during construction - Marc was amazing during that time, helped us where he could and waited patiently for things to move on again Thank you to Marc and your team.
