Sparkle Pools was formed in 1988 by Raymond H. Glaeser, Jr. and was incorporated in 1994. Since 1988, Sparkle Pools has been serving Maryland and Delaware out of its Denton location, offering installation and maintenance of high-quality swimming pools and Marquis Spas. To better serve our customers, in 2011 Sparkle Pools added new locations in Dover, DE and Easton, MD.
Problem: Green floating algae begins growing on the walls and floor of the pool, spreads rapidly, especially in the presence of sunlight. Solution: Adjust the pH to 7.4. Depending on pool's surface type, use granular shock. Carefully follow use directions, especially dosage levels. Problem: Black or spot algae first appears as small specks on the pool's surface then rapidly grows to larger areas. Strongly clings to walls and floor. Highly resistant, can pit plaster surface and cause roughness. Solution: Adjust pH to 7.4.
Know your chemicals, and they can help you simply maintain a perfect pool all season long. This product will stabilize pool chlorine and help prevent chlorine loss due to the effect of sunlight. Backwash or clean the filter before adding this product to the pool. Maintain the pH of pool water between 7.2 and 7.8.

The Hayward chlorinator was leaking so I had to bypass it, but the pump supply tube gasket from the 1.5 pipe was also leaking. Contacted Sparkle who indicated that the service department was very busy & it might take 5 days; however, Ray (one of the owners) came by the next day & replaced the chlorinator & repaired the leaking lines! Excellent service, and Ray did a great job!

I have been meaning to leave a review for awhile. I have dealt with Matt off and for a variety of reasons. He has always gone out of his way to make sure all is good.incredible customer service! The other day when looking for a part, Matt and Jesse "jumped through hoops" and came up with what I needed. Impressive!. Thanks, as always.

I bought a new motor and pump last June. I used it June, July and August. I winterized my pool and stored the entire pump assembly in my basement. I opened our pool up this summer and it didn't run for a week and died. I called the store and explained the situation. I never even received a call back. I had to reinstall my 10 year old pump to use our pool. You lost this customer for life.

I wasn't going to go there because they charge $9.99 for a water sample but if you spend $24.95 you will not get charged for the water sample. I went there because I was going to be in Denton and I needed chemicals also. Well I will not ever got back there, the man that spoke with me talked to me like I didn't know what I was doing. Every time he asked me a question it was like a test of knowledge and he would jump right over my answers.
I would of walked out because of the way he made me but I didn't because he did my water sample. Never again, look at my sample he told me everything is find chemical wise and to do one thing and let it sit after running for a couple hours. I did this and I read the paper my ph is low and on the bottle it says have the ph at a good level

Sparkle Pools Denton recently installed our pool and so far so good. We couldn't be happier. I truly can not say enough about how satisfied we are with the process. Every phone call and E-mail was returned promptly. Gary, Brad, Ray, Joe and their team are terrific. We are looking forward to the many good memories we'll make with our grandchildren. I would highly recommend them.

Our dealings with Sparkle during the 10(+) years since they installed our pool have been stellar. All aspects, from initial installation, any minor repair/replacement, periodic service, and seasonal openings/closings have been courteous, timely, and professional. I would recommend them to anyone considering a new pool or service on an existing pool. I read some of the negative review comments and I wonder if we're talking about the same company? I stand solidly by Sparkle's performance!

Above ground pool liner purchase and install was a nightmare. Liner damaged somehow and I'm told I need to contact the manufacturer as they will not cover the liner cost. Buyer beware! I wish I would have read these reviews before going with this company in this location. Maybe the other branches are better but our experience was horrible.

Been trying to get my hot tub fixed for about 4 months now. They installed one part to find out it was another problem. Several weeks later they return to fix it only they had ordered the wrong part. Several more weeks pass. I call for update on part but they have no idea. And don't seem to care. The sales people are great. Just hope you don't need a repair.

BAD SERVICE! I contracted this company back in March to fix my hot tub. They charged me $950,a nd their fix lasted about a week! I've called their service dept. four times, and the woman always says she'll "schedule me for a service visit" and call me back with a date only never to follow up. Ditto for voice mails, never returned.
