We are so please with the purchase of the pool and the service we continue to receive from Southernwind Pools. It is amazing how spot on the real pool looks when compared to the one our designer, Moses Campos, helped us create. We did hit a bit of a snag during the project, as will happen when constructing something in the real world, but John, the president of the company, stepped right in and made sure everything went smoothly. Honestly, and I think they even told me this before we started, but it does really interrupt your regular life when they are doing a project like this in your backyard.

Especially if you have dogs and are used to just letting them in and out as needed. Your yard, fence, landscaping and maybe even irrigation will look nuts for a little bit, but here. 5 years later, I have zero regrets. Zero. This has been the best purchase ($$:joy ratio) that we've ever made and feel we got a real value with the technology options Southernwind offered. Everything is so easy to operate and program. Thank you, Southernwind, we are so happy with how this project turned out.

We are happy with the construction. However, the service needs to be improved especially since there are so many other pool service/cleaning companies around with lower prices. Last year, our pool was green most of the summer. Took them a really long time to respond and come out to look at the pool. It's only Spring and our pool is green again. Contacted the company, but no follow-up. Called today and waiting for a response.

Building process was fine. But their after build customer service is deplorable. Takes weeks to get a response for a service request. They put in the wrong panel and equipment, which we are having to replace. They installed some type of peculiar chlorinator which NO ONE has ever seen before. We have to cap that off and install another one. They installed the pool then fled. No follow up. No point of contact for service issues. And the pool is only a year old. Find someone else that is committed to customer follow up.

Never finished! Storm did damage during construction phase and they didn't cover the costs/run it through their insurance even though they admitted it was their responsibility. They tried to charge me $8,000 for repairs. Someone else did it for $5K. DO NOT USE! Low value, but think extremely highly of themselves. Already talked two neighbors out of using them for these reasons. cost them $200K when they could have just done my repairs at cost for probably $2K.

Very disappointed in this company at all levels. I received one return call out of at least 10 calls requesting help. The lady answering calls is nice enough but is not knowledgeable about anything and did nothing but take messages. In the 2 to 3 months of weekly "service", not 1 time did they remove the light green algae, even after having us drain and tefill the pool.

Their rates are the highest in the area, and they don't even follow their own cancellation policy. Even the manager wouldn't return my calls. Save your money and frustration and don't use this company.

I reached out awhile back to see if Southernwind Pools would be interested in building a pool for my family. I never once heard back from you BUT I did get on your mailing list. I receive junk mail from you EVERY week in my mail box. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but it's 2020 and most companies do not send out mailings as it's terrible for the environment. I definitely do not recommend this pool builder!

Very satisfied with the service and quality of work received from Southernwind Pools. We did some renovation on our pool that is approx. 12 years old. Mark R. was great in helping us pick out tile/stone. having the showroom was extremely helpful. Mark was great at giving us our options and honest recommendations. Crews were timely and respectful. Looking forward to having them help us with our outdoor kitchen. Very highly recommend Southernwind Pools.

We could not even get this company to schedule a meeting with us. We contacted them on yelp, via email, and tried calling and each time got a response asking what time was best to meet and then once we would reply, we would never hear back.

We can't thank Southernwind Pools enough for all of the work they put into our beautiful pool. The entire team including Moses, Angela and Drew truly went above and beyond to help us get everything done in a timely manner. The communication throughout the process was especially on-point. This pool building experience was the best we've had and we will continue to highly recommend Southernwind to friends and family.

Southernwind did an amazing job on our pool expansion project. We expanded a 10000 gallon pool to 45000 gallons. They did it in 5 weeks. The whole process of design to build was awesome. Mark their PM did an exceptional job. Onsite everyday at 630 am making sure the project finished on time. I would recommend southernwind to everyone.

Single worst experience I've ever had with any company. This is the one that will make you swear you'll never build a pool again. Use ANY other pool

Our pool was leaking. It turns out it was the skimmers. These guys charged me $500 for a "leak search" which they say included sonar and such to find leaks. Then $1000 to fix the skimmer leaks. This seemed to reduce the problem for a short while, but then it got worse again. They came out and claimed "Skimmers tears perfect with no issues. You have to have another issue." (quoting from Mark Robinson's email).

I told them there is no way that was the case and they came back out and then claimed that my pool had "settled" in the two months since and new cracks had appeared. We do not believe they did not properly fixed the pool the first time and their attitude after the fact was unhelpful. I would not do business with them again.

We had a fantastic experience building our pool with Adam and John at Southernwind. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and we're so pleased with the process and the results. They were really responsive to all of our questions and concerns. We picked Southernwind because we felt that they would do our project the right way - and they really did. Thanks so much for our beautiful pool and patio!

After moving from the Los Angeles in 2018 we made a decision that we wanted to build a pool. After interviewing a number of pool vendor and verifying references we chose Southernwind Pools. Mike Calonne our pool consultant was very patient and understanding as we began to design our pool. We initially started out with a simple rectangular pool that morphed into a free form design. Mike helped us and made recommendations through the process.

We also decided to add a spa Using the pool design software Mike was able to show us a visual representation of what the pool was going to look like. We began the actual work in the fall of 2018. Southernwind Pools assigned a project manager that stayed on top of all phases of the project. The rain made the project a little challenging. However, after each phase Southernwind sent in their crew to clean-up the construction area. The pool came out exactly like the visual diagrams we viewed during the deign phase. Needless to say, we love our pool and are very grateful that we chose Southernwind.

You may read this review elsewhere. I've posted it at a number of sites because I really want to acknowledge the exceptional work done by Mark Robinson and his crews from Southernwind Pools. Southernwind was recommended to me by USI Remodeling, a company who has handled a couple of major interior jobs for us over the last dozen years. I have a lot of trust in USI, and wanted to use a company that I could similarly trust for our pool renovation, and Southernwind did not disappoint.

The project was a complete renovation of a pool about 40 years old. The only original component that wasn't removed/replaced was the gunite shell. Sundeck was replaced with travertine pavers -beautiful! And the replaster looks great. Pool equipment is all integrated and tied into the wireless network -works as advertised. Mark works long hours to stay on top of his jobs, and is very accessible.

He was very good at identifying issues that needed to be addressed along the way to make sure that the job was done right, and there were no expenditures that we were not made aware of ahead of time. Mark was quick to respond to texts and emails and is just a "good dude". So I would heartily recommend Southernwind. They will not be your lowest bid, but you get what you pay for.

I had a "budget" re-tile/re-plaster done years ago and that did not turn out well (especially the re-plaster -inferior bonding agent used between gunite and plaster). If you are interested in quality work carefully overseen and completed in a timely manner, Mark and his team will deliver.

Southernwind Pool did an awesome job with our pool installation. We came in with a clear vision and Mike was fantastic at making that vision come to life. He was precise with every detail and made sure we had the design exactly the way we wanted it from the beginning. When it came to installation, Ben was equally awesome with keeping track of all of the trades (and we had many because of all of the terrace work).

If something wasn't right, it just took one call and Ben was on it. There were a few times when I'd see something that didn't look right and he'd make a special trip over to ensure mistakes weren't made. We even did an add on landscaping project with their sub contractor and the mix between the pool project and post pool landscape interfaced very well. Overall, the team was outstanding, the only challenge was in the transition to self maintenance and the availability of information about how the system operates. But again, Mike ensured we were satisfied all the way to the end. Big thanks to Southernwind Pool. We can't wait to enjoy our pool this summer.

Excellent Job! They restored our 20 plus year old pool. We love the result! Work with Mark Robinson. He was very knowlgeable and always available to answer questions. Our project was small compared to some of his other projects but we never felt small. Mark was always there to make sure everything was going right. The pool looks beautiful! Our decision to hire Southernwind Pools to build our fancy new cement pond can be best described in two words: Mike Calonne. In our opinion, Mike is, by a million miles, what separates Southernwind from other pool contractors. Mike wears two hats at Southernwind -- one in a sales context and the other as a pool designer -- and we were fortunate enough to engage his services in both capacities for our project.

From the day we picked up the phone to the day we filled up our pool, Mike was nothing but professional, courteous, responsive and reliable. And from a creative standpoint, Mike's concept for our pool design blew the freaking doors off of what the other contractors brought to the table. The level of creativity he brought to our project far exceeded our expectations and was right in step with his knack for problem solving.

At the end of the day, we were absolutely thrilled with Mike's vision. As for the construction process, things generally went according to plan, with a few hiccups along the way. About midway through the project, the project manager assigned to us took another job with a different company. This was actually fine with us, as he seemed somewhat disengaged from our project, but no one bothered to inform us of the lineup change until at least a week after his departure.

The breakdown in communication probably ended up costing us a week or so of construction time. The only other real complaint we had about the process was the performance of Southernwind's landscaping subcontractor. These are the guys who handle irrigation and any pool-related landscaping installations (in our case, a flagstone deck and walkway).

While they were always courteous and friendly, their level of skill and quality of workmanship didn't seem to be on par with the requirements of our project. Either that or they were in a rush to get the heck out of Dodge. Whatever the reason, we were less than impressed with them. But as we're all unfortunately too keenly aware, a subcontractor by any other name is still a subcontractor.

Beyond that, the construction process went really smoothly. very few headaches or panic attacks. Bottom line, if you're thinking about pulling the trigger on a pool, we'd highly recommend Southernwind. When we first began the process, we were blown away by the dollar figures attached to building a pool, but after having gone through it, we have a real appreciation for the sheer scope of what goes into the process. It's a relatively massive undertaking, all things considered.

We believe that the main thing Southernwind offers is value. Not only from a cost standpoint (and they were extremely competitive), but from a Big Picture standpoint. From start to finish, they are a well-oiled machine in every way. And if the whole "design aesthetic" thing is a priority for you (as it was for us) then the person you're gonna want to call is Mike Calonne. The dude just kicks ass.

Not often do I write a review but this company's pool maintenance and service dept is a 5 Star and deserves a review. Don and his crew are exceptional, dependable and leaves very specific details of the activities performed each week. Hard copy left on site and an email generated summary sent to us. Don has always responded to my calls when an issue occurs.

Just yesterday I had an issue with the heater not igniting. Don logged in remotely and had me do a series of tests. In less than 2 mins all was good and the party was in. His leadership and over 20 years experience is another reason I continued my service with SWP. Keep up the good work

I was referred to Mark from Southernwind Pools by another pool company and could not be happier with their work. They completely overhauled my pumps and converted my exiting pool to a salt water along with brand new beautiful plaster. I'm grateful for Mark and his trustworthy and straightforward approach to such a large project for me. He never made it feel overwhelming and hit every timeline he set for us! My family is so happy with the results.

We just completed the renovation on our 26 year old pool with Mark Robinson of Southernwind Pools and couldn't be more pleased with the process and the result. We interviewed a lot of pool companies and felt that Mark's vision and understanding of what we wanted and his companies reputation for first class service were the perfect choice.

The crews were fabulous and the warranty service after the pool was completed was great. Just minor issues and completed within days of calling Mary. Mike helped us with the fine points on the design and Mark suggested minor changes to the travertine color and the location of the led lights which we would never have seen on our own. Trust them! Work with them and enjoy the knowledge and service they give you. Love it! Photos are before and after and one family member who was not so happy through the process.

Southernwind Pools is a great choice for you pool remodel. The existing pool at our home had gone through years of neglect. Mark and his team walked us through the entire process, schedule and pricing before ever starting. No surprises, no wasted time or money, and a beautiful result. The pool is unbelievable and is probably working better than it ever did. you cannot go wrong with choosing these professionals to transform you pool into an oasis! Great work, highly recommended.

Our backyard was to take 10-12 weeks to complete. It took 6+ months and that was with my constant follow up. There's was tons of mistakes throughout the process. Weeks went by with no work done. They couldn't get their contracture out here to do the work. The owner is super cocky, will not fix anything. Makes empty promises and says my expectations are too high.

We shouldn't have to pay $150k for our backyard to not get everything we paid for and be unsatisfied. The owner harassed me for weeks about making the final payment promising me he would fix things not done. It's been almost two months since I wrote the final check and he's not fixed anything. The project manager quit mid way through to go to Riverbend Sandler. Do not use this company.

I highly recommend Southernwind Pools and will do so until I am no longer able to speak or write! I started off by looking at several different companies and moved forward with 3 different designers. The initial process was very trying for me because I have little free time due to hectic work and family schedules. Ultimately, I chose to work with Mike Calonne at Southernwind because he went way above and beyond the rest: 1) he bent over backwards to accommodate my crazy schedule during the planning and construction phases, 2) listened to my needs and wants and produced a breathtaking design that will entertain my kids and my friends for many years to come, 3) made valuable recommendations to provide the energy efficient and low maintenance solutions I was seeking, and 4) educated me on some pitfalls I would want to avoid no matter who I chose to build my pool.

Imagine my delight when the rest of the team was just as helpful, friendly, professional, and accommodating! They took care of absolutely everything and made sure my efforts on the project were minimal - just what I told them I needed. And, despite a very crazy rainy season last fall/winter, they finished on schedule! I continue to be super-pleased with the attention and follow-up I receive from Mike Eastes, their Project Manager, and his team (he even sent me pictures and videos of my project since I was always stuck at work and he didn't want me to miss out on all of the excitement) and from their Service Manager, Jon Paul Stalnaker, and his team who are all very personable, responsive, and efficient.

Even the President of the company, John Versfelt, checks in to make sure we're happy - truly exceptional customer service and quality! My pool is spectacular and stunning, we live in our spa, and we can't wait to take our first swim next weekend!

We are new to Texas so we had to get acquainted with a few differences in construction practices here. The folks at Southernwind were very gracious and helped us understand the process. However, recent legal problems changed my opinion of this business.
