Great service. I used previous pool services and they always hired inexperienced new people every few months who didn't have any pool cleaning skills. My pool always has algae even when I changed to a new pool filter. I asked my neighbor who has been using The pool Guys for years. I just tried it. The Pool Guys sent me a pool technician who really understands pool maintenance.

I don't need to tell him anything, he knows everything about swimming pool maintenance. Usually my pool accumulates alega when it's hot, but this is the first time I haven't seen an alega. I highly recommend The Pool Guys.

B.S. I called for service of a hot tub - Said they "were locked out from the property and couldn't get to the pool". (LIE) Its not a gated property and the service wasn't for a pool. Said it was a "commercial" property (LIE) It is a 5-bedroom residential property and house, owned by the original owner who used to live there. Said "we can't accommodate you" (LIE) They are CHOOSING not to provide services. to a very upscale rehab. Saratoga politics. If they lie about not giving service, why would you expect the truth about their service?

Great neighborhood pool supply and repair store. Open seven days a week 10-4. They are old school so don't be in a big hurry but they will take care of you and answer any questions you have. Most important they have chlorine at a fair price. Feels good supporting a local mom and pop business too.

Such a great experience! We had been looking all over for a simple pool floatie (inner tube style), but all of the major stores were sold out. Came here and had such great selection! They had some as cheap as $6 and some that were more elaborate for a bit more. We got two for less than $25! The service was also really friendly and personable. He even gave us a free blow up beach ball! Really happy we came here instead of Target or the like.

It worked. My pool was green. Even after two rounds of yellow-out algaecide and powdered chlorine. Overnight, my green pool became a beautiful blue after adding their algaecide and 6 gallons of chlorine we upped the recommended dosage for my 20,000 gallon pool just to make sure it worked. it did! Thanks guys

Unfortunately the service that they provide is mediocre. Do not expect them to tell you if you have a big leak in your equipments. It happened to me twice and I had to tell them that my equipment had a leak l. Aren't you suppose to do recurring weekly services? This was extremely easy to identify. If you then expect them to repair the problem it will take them months and you are blind, they do not return call, they do not provide you estimate nor timing on when the problem is going to be fixed. Overall: I do not recommend, look somewhere else.

Was in town visiting my father in law in the hospital and noticed that his pool pump was out. They were great at helping me and replaced the pump on a Sunday. What a great team! Price was good, service was unbelievable from Miguel. These guys get it!

My husband uses this store regularly for pool maintenance supplies. We have found them to be helpful and to offer fair pricing on their merchandise. The store is conveniently located on De Anza Blvd near the railroad tracks and fronting on De Anza. The store has a private parking lot. We have not used their pool service yet. Some of the review comments on YELP do give me serious pause in that regard. I would likely hire them on a trial basis for regular pool service.

Horrible service. I've been trying to get my pump replaced for 9 months and still, they haven't even come out to give a quote. I've had them for 5 years but I'm done. I won't ever use their service again. Constant lack of follow-up and a million excuses why there is yet another delay to a repair.

Horrible follow up and scheduling on their part. Needed a pipe looked at and it took them 9 days just to call my tenants to schedule. I wouldnt use these guys again. Horrible follow up and really bad at doing what they say. Go elsewhere

The store had a sale for Hasa Chlorine Buy 3 and Get 1 deal. I used 8 Gallons of Hasa Chlorine but the chlorine dissipates to zero overnight. I bought KEMTEK chlorine from OSH and used 1 Gallon, the chlorine stayed at 1ppm overnight as it is supposed to do. I am not sure what they are selling but I am sure I won't go back there. They do not give a detail receipt for products they sold. I am not sure what they are doing but something fishy going on.

As a very busy Property Manager I give these guys 5 stars. They are always on top of things anytime I need them or have a question. Billing is great and very professional as well. Check out their store in Saratoga anytime.

The service was so consistently terrible for 3 years straight. Too many problems to list. And so many times I tried to get them to deal with stuff and always a problem. I had to replace equipment that that were not doing basic maintenance on. It has taught me a lot about how to maintain a pool by myself though. If you are not paying close attention or you have a rental property in which they are servicing you. please switch. There's plenty of providers at same or slightly cheaper rate that are actually doing what you are paying them for.

Wow, there are some negative reviews here that are completely opposite of my experience with Mike and the crew at Pool Guys. The Pool Guys have been servicing our pool in Saratoga for over 10 years, and they're amazingly responsive, helpful, and always are proactively maintaining our large pool and spa very professionally. When I've had upgrade requests or service issues, Mike responds within a day, usually within an hour or two. He's patient, understanding, professional and takes his job very seriously. I highly recommend them without any hesitation.

The Pool Guys seems to be a "one-stop-shop" for pool and spa services and goods; they are very helpful and professional. Their prices are extremely reasonable, especially in comparison to some of the other pool and spa services; and their website offers some pretty good web specials. Additionally, they offer free estimates and consultations. As far as their goods/ supplies, they are, just like the services they offer, very well priced, and I like that they carry an excellent range of products. I would very highly recommend them.

These guys were great. I had a problem with my filtration system, and the guys that had installed it couldn't come for almost a week. I randomly googled "pool cleaning services" near Saratoga and they were able to come within a couple hours. The guy they sent was super-nice and fixed the problem really quickly and cheaply. I was impressed enough to hire them to service my pool weekly.

My pool was always so-so with cleanliness before.now it's just spotless. That was a couple months ago, and, based on the service they've supplied since then, I would recommend them to anyone.

Give these "Guys" a try! Although some of the previous reviews have been low, this business has turned around. The office folks are supportive and responsive, and the pool service is high quality. We're thinking about getting a pool so we've been asking our neighbors about all the services they've tried, and they both highly recommend The Pool Guys.

Believe me, these neighbors have huge pools, lots of parties, and their pools, serviced by The Pool Guys, are always immaculate. I'm going with them as soon as our pool becomes a reality.

The Pool Guys are awesome! They provide free estimates and cheap prices on supplies and services; which is convenient and affordable especially since pool maintenance and supplies can be really expensive. I was surprised how affordable their full pool service was and how quick they completed it; my kids were back in the pool in no time. Since their service was so good they come by every week for water testing and equipment checks. I recommend their service to anyone who wants quality assistance at an affordable price!

I called these guys because my pool filter wasn't working and my pool was not clean. The technician who came out spent quite a while examining the filter and trying various things; he finally told me I needed a new one. They also sell pool supplies and the price for the filter was reasonable (I'd done some research about brands and prices.) He also gave me some tips about my solar pool heater and later returned to fix a leak that had me running water into the pool every day and had made my water bill go through the roof for months.

I've since read some negative reviews of this company, but they did a good job for me. They don't try to sell you products or services you don't need and they'll usually give you options about fixing a problem so you can decide what you want to spend in time and money.

I love The Pool Guys! I always thought that having a pool would be easy to maintain but I never imagined how much work goes into keeping it taken care of. Needless to say, in very little time I had less of a paradise and more like a huge almost unfix-able disaster. The Pool Guys helped me so much throughout this whole pool process. They've answered and listened to all my questions, corrected any misinformation, and gave me tips and tricks for keeping my pool beautiful and sparkly in between services. Everyone I've worked with The Pool Guys it has been incredibly nice and very helpful.

Would not recommend at all! Ramiro is nice but the folks managing the business are horrible, disorganized and borderline unethical. I stopped my service over one year ago because I wanted to save some money. I was paying monthly and settled my balance prior to ending service. 9 months later I asked them to come and clean out my hot tub and perform an annual maintenance.

It was the beginning of the summer and I wanted to start out with a clean tub. They came out (not Ramiro) and did an average job at best. They didn't clear out the pipes which resulted in leaves and dirt entering the tub when they turned the spa on. The maintenance guy said he would come back the next day and re-drain the tub. He came back alright but was too lazy to empty the tub.

He used a skimmer to clean it out. Oh well, I wasn't about to pressure him into refilling the tub since it would cost another small fortune in water. Anyway, after the guy left, my timer and heater were both broken! Apparently the trips on my timer were not functioning and (according to them) the heating element on the heater was broken ($400! to fix). I'm not going to openly speculate as to what happened which resulted in this but I'm sure it's easy to connect the dots.

I told them to forget the repairs and fix my trippers (which they replaced with new but equally faulty) Here's the kicker.about two months later, I get a bill for the regular maintenance/cleaning (250). I also get a bill for 2 months of cleaning (200) from when they first came out to do the initial cleaning. I never asked to sign up for monthly service yet they billed me for this?!?!?

And on top of this, they claim I had a balance (150) from when I ended my service over a year ago! My question to Chad (who was the worst customer service skills), was why they never reached out to me to let me know I had a remaining balance from the previous year. No calls, emails, bills, nothing. His only excuse was that the computer said I had a balance. Wow. Anyway, my bill ended up being $600 for what was supposed to be a $250 cleaning job which resulted in a dirty spa, broken heater and broken timer. All I can say is buyer beware. my experience with them was worse than horrible. Read the other reviews and make your own conclusion.

Twice I called these guys to have a service tech dispatched to my home because I saw an ad in the Valpak of San Jose. Both times I was told no one was availible for a day or so and that someone will call me back to schedule an appointment. That was weeks ago and I will not call again! If they have that much work already, I wish they would just tell me they don't need my business (or yours)

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I paid them for weekly spa service for *years*, not knowing that they weren't doing the job they were being paid for. We don't use the spa much, but that's why we paid these so-called professionals to maintain it. Had a party and my niece and her friends wanted to use the spa. it was disgusting-- black algae had completely ruined the headrests, the cover was slimy with mold, and the fumes from the chemicals almost knocked me over-- and the spa had supposedly been serviced that morning!

I called to complain and they did absolutely nothing after promising to have a supervisor come out and take a look. No one ever showed up. These jerks are unprofessional and undeserving of my business and the THOUSANDS of dollars I paid them over the years. I'm still furious.

Two winters ago, we let our pool maintenance go and had a terrible algae problem. We took a water sample to Leslie's Pool store to get it tested and buy the chemicals to fix it. We sunk hundreds of dollars into chemicals and our pool was still green and murky. Discouraged, I went online and found a wonderful pool community who helped me get my pool crystal clear using regular grocery store bleach. (If you are interested in learning how to care for your pool on your own, go to www.troublefreepool.com).

I swore never to go to Leslie's again. Fast forward to this winter, and we had that terrible storm right after New Year's. My pool was quickly filling up and I needed to drain it before it overflowed. I didn't know how to do it, and I ended up calling The Pool Guys for advice. Even though I had never shopped there, the man who answered walked me through the draining process and I was able to do it on my own and prevented the pool from overflowing.

Since then, whenever I need to purchase pool chemicals, off to the Pool Guys I go. They are very personable, helpful, and don't try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don' t need.
