I'm a new pool owner and am trying to do as much maintenance on my own. The staff here have been nothing but nice and friendly to me. Always answering my questions and making suggestions. Great team.

So helpful! Great team! Don't bother trying to learn how to care for your pool online, just call or visit them. Save yourself some time and money!

Went in to see about my new pool and how to care for it. No one greeted me, I was largely ignored and then when I was helped and I asked about how to get the iron out of my pool I was told to drain it.

I cannot recommend this place enough! We went in back in October because we were interested in a specific hot tub, everything in the store is clean and well displayed, employees wearing masks and everything. The manager, Chris was very knowledgeable, polite, able to answer my multitude of question and explained that though there was a large backorder on hot tubs they actually had a floor model set up if we wanted to see. Needless to say, we went in, he answered all of our questions, and we placed the order that day.

With the backlog from COVID, it did take a few months to come in, which they had of course warned us about, but once the truck came in they called to schedule the best time to deliver it to our home. The crew that did the hot tub drop off were amazing, they brought it all the way up the driveway right where we needed it, and delivered all of the other parts (stairs/cover/shock/chlorine) that came with our package. They even installed the filter for us and explained where the access panel was for best placement.

Just recently brought a home with a pool, my very first time owning one, desperately needing help, after trying a few other pool supply stores, I decided to go to pool town which was much closer, I have to say that this place was just the kind of place you would want to go for good service and all the help you might need, just to put a plug in for Danielle a young lady who I found to be very helpful and knowledgeable and kaiden who also was very helpful I would recommend this store in Redford Michigan to anyone who's looking for a store with good customer service and support, this will probably be my last stop when looking for pool supply store I think my pool has found a home

I will always go to pooltown. All of the guys in all locations know what they are talking about. I trust them and they are always so helpful. I don't do anything to my pool without talking to these guys.

Jerry is gone! Only reason I stayed for so many years. Going to find a new location with knowledgeable and professional help.

Jerry is wonderful and always has been the best! If he is not there, I will go elsewhere for my chemicals and pool supplies. Period.

Buyer Beware: a manufacturer's one year parts and labor warranty won't be honored like you expect it will. We purchased a Dreammaker Spa at the Pool & Spa Show in winter 2019, taking delivery of the hot tub in late March. We specifically asked about product warranty and were told the spa had a one year parts and labor, plus an additional 4 years (5 total) on certain components (such as the exterior shell).

Fast forward to this week, when we identify noticeable defects in the lighting. Since we are still under warranty, we call and set up a service appointment. The tech arrives, makes the repair (an entire strand of lights were found to be faulty and required replacement), and tells us that while the parts and labor are covered under warranty we are subject to a $90 "Service Trip Fee".

Say what? When I questioned the obscure charge, according to Pooltown a "Service Trip Fee" applies to any service required after the first 90 days. That's right fellow buyers, you're going to be out of pocket for ANY issues you experience.even if covered under warranty.after the first 3 months. And just to be clear, parts and labor are covered by the manufacturer (supposedly) so this $90 fee covers.the tech's commute to and from? That's a whopping 1.7 miles/6 minutes from their location to our home each way [that's $26 per mile if it just goes toward the commute]. I'm obviously in the wrong business.

I emailed the sales person from whom we purchased the spa, and he tells me that this little nugget of information (the "Service Trip Fee" applicable after only 90 days, despite the 1 year of stated coverage), which was NOT disclosed during the sale, is "stated in the warranty paperwork that came with the spa". Oh, well how nifty.wait until after its paid for and delivered and THEN let us know.

This is simply poor customer service all the way around. A business is only as good as how they perform in the worst of circumstances, and Pooltown has absolutely let us down. We will be certain to take future business elsewhere (and make sure our friends do the same).

The man I talked to really knew his business the only bad thing, was the pool was a little bit more than what I had intended on pain. But they do offer layaway and that's a good thing. I would highly recommend this company.

Buyer beware, bought an intek pool vac 2 days ago and not happy with it. Not sure if its defective or its just a bad product. Wanted to return for refund and they said no refunds on these vacuums not even exchange. 80 bucks down the toilet. its sad because this is where I go for all my pool needs. Have spent lots of money at this store like in the thousands, I will take my business elsewhere.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JERRY! My last visit today, and I mean LAST visit I saw a new face or two ( managerial ) types. I asked where jerry was and was told he was fired and that's all he could tell me. That's to bad! Most people including me went to that pool store not for the store but for Jerry. BAD MOVE POOL TOWN REDFORD! You have sprung a leak. Anyone know if he's at a new store?

Was at another pool store down the road needing assistance. When the kid behind the counter gave me a glazed over look and was googling to help me, it was time to go. Drove down to Pooltown. Great mom & pop store. Knowledgeable staff. Was there about 10:30 am and was back up and running by noon with a new filter. Danielle was awesome! Will definitely be back.

Referred to this store by the company that opened our pool this year, Aviator Pools. As first time pool owners this is all new to us. Everyone at Pooltown was incredibly kind, helpful and full of information. Would highly recommend them.

Jerry at this location was wonderful! We started our swimming pool shopping at the end of winter. When the weather started getting nicer Jerry got busy and works alone allot. He was always kind and patient. Thing is no one tells you all of the extras a swimming pool costs. Be ready to spend allot of money, but in the long run it's worth it :

After going to another pool store, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience here. The service was excellent. We explained our situation and they had recommendations that didn't leave me feeling liked they were trying to get me to buy the whole store. We didn't feel pressured to buy ad-ons, extras or upgrade systems. They give great advice over the phone, without making you feel rushed or like you should come in.

Very helpful and patient. I made some mistakes setting up my sand filter and saltwater filters. Not only did they explain solutions in plain English, Jerry loaned me a pump because I had to drain and start over. Awesome place!
