Very poor customer service, unprofessional and not trustworthy. They lied about everything from beginning to end. First that they never got my deposit after a week that I had not heard from them, then that they called me to give me start up date but I did answered (so they say) never left voicemails and I had to keep calling them through the whole process.

They had said job will take 3/4 day max but it actually took 2 weeks. Workers truck was leaking oil and stained my new pavers. They left all the plaster stains of material they used all over my pool Chicago bricks deck. Never left instructions on steps to take after pool was filled. I have left several voicemails and emails about having them clean all the mess and after 5 days I have still not gotten them to call me back to address issues.

Made a service appointment with these guys, they never showed up, never called, didn't answer when I called and no return call after leaving voicemail.

I have purchased chemicals from here for 25 years and have always been happy with their service until I hired them to clean my pool while I was away. The first thing they did was tell me my filter must be replaced because a band was broken; something I knew wasn't necessary but I agreed figuring it would make it easier to clean because the banding makes the filter stand on end by itself.

You can just add a new band to fix that but anyway. Being out of the county we were using email to communicate with them. They then sent an invoice asking to replace my pump. I was skeptical so I had my pump checked by an electrician and other than being rusty it was fine. I bought this pump from them originally and it rusted prematurely, not a quality pump at all. You can draw your own conclusion from this but I think they push repairs on you if they think you are stupid, I for one am calling a Spade a Spade!

This place is a scam the manager it's a major scammer. Expensive not worth coming here worker's seem sad.

I purchased 6 month's ago a pool motor for my pool at Pool Discount Center. The pump broke 2 weeks ago and I called them. They told me, they only offer 30 day warranty and to contact the manufacturer. All was good until I called US Motors and gave them the number, invoice info and company where I purchased it. To my dismay, they said that this company was not a distributor for them, therefore they could not fix my motor.

When I called the store. An unbelievably rude man, told me that it was my problem, I should of returned the motor within the 30 days. When I confronted him with my findings, he told me he bought it from a third party. When I asked who, he said he couldn't say. Then he said "what are you going to do about it"! Never, have I experienced such lack of customer service and rudeness from a store owner. I live in Pinecrest, If you are looking for pool supplies or products, stay away.

We had pool discount change the light to the pool and re-do the finish. The work on the resurfacing of the pool was extremely bad, with discoloration and flaking. Our initial complaints went unheard, and after much back and forth and threats to involve the consumer protection and lawyers they did repair the work at no cost, except that we had to pay almost 900 dollars to re-fill the pool with water.

The second job ended up being equally botched and now the finish around the pool light is collapsing into the pool. They do not respond to our emails or phone calls, and have only said that they have no responsibility as the warranty on the first job was expired.

We have had enough of someone not taking care of our pool/spa/fountain and just pour chlorine in all three areas and say "you cleaned our pool". We are definitely shopping around for another pool service! We just keep giving them a chance every week. Since after Norman, our favorite pool tech, got promoted to Manager to the pool techs, our pool/spa/fountain has never been cleaned or cared for the same way.

I am all for promotions, but when you replace a technician with another one that just doesn't care, I.e. our pool is still green, not brushed, our spa bottom covered with algae as well as our fountain. And, the tech not tightening the fountain filter correctly to my constantly coming home to a flooded garage, due to his neglect, it's definitely time for a change!

We have been faithful clients for more than 10 years. We leave messages and complaints, because no one ever picks up the phone, even during normal business hours it is time to start looking for another pool service company. It is a shame, I have tried very hard to continue giving them my business, but they don't seem to care or want it! The only reason I gave them the extra star was because they used to do a good job and cared! Sadly they don't anymore!

These guys are like professors! For two years they've taught me how to service my own large and older pool, and explained everything with shocking detail and background. Wise men!

I use to come here a lot, it's where my dad always went, so it's where I went, until I realized it's a crappy store. The people boarder on rude and are rather unhelpful. The selection is limited and the layout of the store is just odd, a lot of wasted space. I could put up with the problems if they had better prices but they don't, Pinch-a-penny has better prices and they are right down the street.
