Service and staff are the best. Staff doesn't try to push products onto you that you don't really need. They test your pool water and they show you the results, and explain what chemicals you need to treat your pool with to get it perfectly swimmable. I recommend them to everyone that's in need of pool chemicals at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly also.

As a newbie with no clue what to add to the pool, I was so glad to walk in here. They were patient, gave clear instructions, and handed me everything I needed. They even helped me carry it out and put in the trunk. I left feeling much more confident in my abilities to maintain clean pool water. Service: Swimming pool water analysis

We are currently in the process of purchasing a new home with an in ground swimming pool and reached out to Periscope to have someone come to inspect the pool and make sure everything is working properly. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and said she would speak to Gary and call me back. I got a call back that he would be able to come inspect it and we agreed on a day and time and that he would give me a heads up so I could let the current homeowners know we would be going over. Gary showed up unannounced while the current homeowners were there so he left with no inspection of the pool.

I called back the next morning wondering why I never heard from anyone the prior day and that is the story I got. The woman then told me he would be able to go the current day and again a no show with very poor communication. We are now left buying a pool with it not being inspected. I would never use this company for anything as it was very unprofessional and dishonest. We would've accepted a "no" that they could not inspect and moved on to another company. STAY AWAY!

Save yourself the time, money and AGGRAVATION! DO NOT do business with this company! Worst service, most irresponsible. They took credit card info, committed time but never turned up and when they did come after three weeks they looked at the pool for 2 minutes and said they'll be back another day but they never did come back. AND STILL CHARGE ME AFTER NOT GETTING THE JOB DONE. I 'll be calling someone else. How do companies like this stay in business. ridiculous.

Critical: Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Worst service, most irresponsible. They took credit card info, committed time but never turned up. Then they said we don't want your business. Then they said we can't talk over phone. I am a secretary and can't give any time about our guys who actually provide service. worst ever experience!

After the worst overall experience ever from snyder pool co.,m y faith in effort, diligence, and honest customer service was restored by gary and randy. They pinpointed all of the problems, both mechanically, and chemically, and made what seemed to be an impossible fix 110 percent perfect and saved the end of my summer. I can't begin to thank them enough! Emile S.

If there was a ZERO stars option that's what I'd give. I try really hard to keep my business local but never ever again will I give them $1 of my business. They lie about ordering things then pretend to be all incensed at the supplier when items don't come in when in fact they were never ordered. They also tell bold faced lies promising every day that today they will be out to do work or by the end of the day you will get a call, blah blah blah. It blows my mind that they can run a business with ZERO customer service and nothing but lies. Never ever again will I fall victim to their deceitful business practices.

We take them a water sample, they explain the results and write out steps to remedy any issues. They're very helpful. It's a nice small business with the personal touch.

DO NOT waste your time and money with this company! I called them in April to do an in-ground pool liner replacement. Gave them a deposit check and they cashed it the next day. I called them every two weeks to check in on when they would be scheduling my install, they kept giving me the same excuse over and over, the water table was too high in my area and I had too much ground water (no one had even been by to assess the amount of ground water I had).

The only time I spoke with Gary the owner was when he came by to do the initial measurements. Even if he was right next to the phone in the store he wouldn't get on the phone, only pass messages along that there was some off and on rain storms coming up and he wasn't sure when he could schedule me. Mid-July rolled around and still no progress!

My pool (which I had taken the cover off in April) looked and smelled like a stagnant lake and had many critters alive and dead in it, certainly an eyesore. I finally called and put some pressure on and the Gary that sits in the store said that my liner was sitting in the storeroom all ready to go. When I finally got them scheduled I called to confirm the day before and he told me that my liner hadn't been shipped yet even though he knows he told me they already had it in stock. Gary the owner finally called me, NOT to apologize for the months of delays I had had but to yell at me that he was uncomfortable completing the job.

I asked for my money back and hired another pool company who had the liner in 1 week and were ready to install without the bullshit! Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with this poorly run company and go somewhere else!

I'd give them zero stars if I could. We called periscope when we had some issues with leaks in our underground pool lines. At first, they were courteous and prompt, and sent someone over to check our lines. They blew out the lines and found a problem with one line, closed it off and said "we'll come back soon and find the exact issue and fix it for you. " My husband promptly called the next day to schedule an appointment and they said "oh it's Fourth of July week next week, well fix it sometime after that." Two days later, we found a HUGE leak in one of the lines that he "TESTED" and said was not leaking (we had a river flowing up and out of our patio.

We had to dig it up and fix it ourselves). Again, my husband called to tell them he was upset that he not only found a leak that they missed but they refused to schedule an appointment. Finally they said they would come "sometime during the week". Well, my husband called THREE TIMES and they "never knew when they were coming". Gary, who is the manager of the store, kept saying "I don't know, I'm just the guy at the desk!" If the manager doesn't know what his techs are doing, that is a HUGE red flag. Finally, I called back to cancel the appointment and Gary yelled at me and swore at me over the phone saying I sounded like someone who wasn't going to be happy no matter what. Well, I think they have me PLENTY of reasons to not be happy. Please please please save yourself grief and aggregation and go with another company. They are BBB registered, so I will be calling to lodge a complaint on Monday as well.

I scheduled for my pool to be closed and inadvertently gave these guys the wrong dimensions. The new pool cover took well over a week to come in and in the meantime I received no updates and when I called to complain about y leaf filled, green pool, "Gary" told me not to be a wise ass about it. I will never do business with this business again and I would advise anyone looking to use them for opening or closing pools to do the same.
