Unbelievable how erratic and rude drivers don't consider the company they work for and the reflection it has on their business.

Paid for a hot tub in full weeks in advance only to get it and it was faulty. Now it sits as an ugly thing in our backyard and cannot get them to take care of this in a timely fashion. Then asked for my credit card number for them to keep on file in case there are charges when they come out. This company is happy to take your money but don't want to fix things after in a timely fashion. I would never recommend this company!

Absolutely the best pool and patio installers in the twin cities. Installed a pool for us 17 years ago and the liner finally needed to be replaced due to fading. The best professional installers and maintenance guys around.

Awful. We just bought a house with a pool. Being new pool owners, I called to ask if they have a "how to run a pool" class. I was told, yes, we offer an orientation. I signed up. I was told the service person would call me day of to confirm appointment. He called, we agreed to 8:30. I arrived at the house at 8:30. He arrived early- and subsequently starting billing me from when he arrived. not from our appointment time.

The truth is, they don't offer an orientation. They have service people in the area that will stop by to answer questions. Examples. 1. I asked him to test the water- PPS sold us drops- his answer. "I don't know how to use drops, I only use strips". He did take time to read the directions. 2. For chemicals, his answer was. just ask at the store and they'll sell you what you need. 3.

I asked about the boost. He hit a button and said it would shut off in 24 hours. 36 hours later, it had not shut off. I had to call and leave a msg to figure out how to shut off the boost. An orientation should have something to justify the charge. as simple as "10 thing you need to know". Or 3 things you need to know. Finally, I called to ask about the extra time charges. and the service dept was rude and quick to place blame. Incredibly unprofessional. In a world of options, I don't recommend anybody use Performance Pools.

As a first time pool owner, we booked Performance for the pool opening (completed 4/20/21) and to help educate us on maintenance. I have to say that working with them has been flawless. Communication was clear and punctual during scheduling and leading up to the appointment. The techs that came out for the service were fast, knowledgeable, and honest with what we should and shouldn't focus on while maintaining the pool. They were patient and answered all of our questions with additional info we didn't think to ask. We will absolutely continue to work with Performance in the future.

I am no longer a customer of Performance Pools. We ordered a hot tub cover from them, thinking that if we paid a little more and ordered local vs. online, that we would be better off. We had been loyal customers with them for years in dealings with our pool. Performance Pools came out twice to measure our hot tub, and when the cover arrived, it was too big.

We quickly discovered that there is no customer loyalty with this company. After several conversations with Darrell and him telling us that they would take care of it, Mike, the owner called and offered to sell me a new cover at cost. Here are the photos of how the cover fits. It leaks steam and water. I would definitely not do business with Performance Pools.

The evening that Mike the owner called me to tell me that he would not stand behind his product, he also informed me that I was just one of his MANY problems with customer that he was dealing with - extremely unprofessional. I talked to Brandon and he again offered to sell us a new cover at cost. No Thanks

The retail location is open 7 days a week which is convenient and the guys there are always helpful and knowledgeable. I've worked with Justin in the service department for several different projects and he's been great to work with. They got done what they said they would, when they said they would it and for the price that was originally quoted. I've worked with a few other pool companies and have no plans to search for anyone other than PPS. Thanks guys.

Joe L. helped us at the Elk River store. Him and the gals helped us make perfect water. Upon my request he showed me options for an improved filter that would replace the inexpensive and undersized pump and filter I currently have with zero sales pressure. The young ladies at the counter made sure we had what we needed. Thank you!

We stopped in to PPS. We were so fortunate to have Max working that evening. I recently purchased my first used spa, so we had a lot of questions. Max was so knowledgable and made us much more confident in balancing our tub. We were able to have him test our water and explained the importance of each reading. had us set up in no time. Such a nice guy too. Sorry we showed up so close to closing. thanks again Max! Keep on rockin the Spa world!

I tried this company this fall to close up my pool. I have four returns on my pool that simply unscrew and then they can be plugged for the winter. These guys broke them off, left the debris in the pool, and then plugged them. They charged me $229.00 plus tax for the closing and wrote on the invoice that the customer will need four new concrete directionals. I have put them on and off myself with no problem in the past. When I called they said they would get back to me. I am still waiting after a week.

I bought a hot tub from Peterson Pools and it was a lousy experience. Greg Peterson (owner) could not of been a bigger jerk to deal with. The employees are afraid of him and I got stuck with a non-working hot tub. Greg always "blames" the customer because he is always right. Found another pool company and thank me later.

I had this outfit put my pool in a few years back. It was a nightmare! After being assured it would take "about 3 days" It actually took over 3 weeks. They started the project on time. Dug a big hole, did a little work and then disappeared for several days. Lots of defects and rework. They don't really seem to have a staff. They out source everything. to independant contractors. Laborers, dump trucks, bobcat drivers, assemblers. None of them seemed to have any skin in the game. Overall: I got my pool and I love it. But I would never go to them again. Nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy.

Updated Review: I spoke with Brandon and was VERY pleasantly surprised at how my unfortunate experience was handled. Due to Brandon's great customer service and management of the situation, I have updated my review and would honestly give these guys a second chance. You don't see companies actively act like this to a poor experience, and that was awesome to see.

The issue comes down to customer service which PPS is SEVERELY lacking. Calling into the service department and dealing with their manager was painful and they were downright rude. The kicker was that all of this was caused by their mistake of ordering the wrong pump and them delaying their timeline twice. Overall, price was ok and the work done to my hot tub with the actual techs that were at my house were good BUT due to their horrible customer service I would be hard pressed to recommend them or use them again.

They closed my in ground pool last year. Then returned this year to open it and told me my pool was closed wrong last year. Then after coming 4 different times to get the pool open and the water correct, I'm still left with green water and the manager told me it's "typical". Waste of time and money using these guys
