Mr Pools

My neighbors used Mr. Pools. Said that they had a terrible experience. Advised not to use them. I thought, any company could have a bad scenario. I called to see about having an estimate. The guy who answered the phone was rude. Did not even state his name, didn't thank me for calling. I stated that I had one estimate already but I wanted to have another company do the same.

His exact words were "We stopped doing that 2 years ago, we can send you an email with rough cost but we do not come out unless you are ready to do business with us" When I asked how can someone decide if they want to do business with you if you do not come out and meet the customer and show interest in doing their job? His exact response was " That's the way we do it, we are to busy to waste our time" I wouldn't care if is they were $25,000 less I would not use this company!

I've been working with Mr. Pools to help me out with all of my pool issues. They have been great. One issue was that my liner had a leak and I wanted it replaced. They recommended Common Sense Construction to me for replacing the liner. These guys were also great to work with. They replaced the liner and answered all the questions I had for them. Very professional and had everything cleaned up before they left. Would definitely recommend both companies.

Great experience. Plenty of pool supplies and free advice. Here's some free advice for you: do not drink the pool water. They will get very mad.

We bought a pool from MR. Pools and the experience was very smooth and friendly the whole way through. We could have uses other larger big box stores, but I had heard terrible things about them. The pool is filling now from our well which can be a bit of an issue, but I called Mr. Pools and we brought in a sample of water. They told us what to do to begin and we are going to go from there. They are an honest and friendly organization and I am glad we worked with them on this for sure. They have a customer for life!

Neighbor got a pool through this company a few years ago and since I was considering adding a pool to my yard, I checked out theirs'. Wow, what a cheap pool. Noticed a nice size crack! Pool looks like it popping above surface! Metal components to filter ect are rusted out. My neighbor said they are extremely disappointed with their pool from Mr Pools and when they talked to the Owner, he was extremely rude. Needless to say, we did not use Mr Pools for our backyard pool

We had a new in ground pool placed last summer by Mr. Pools. From the time of my first inquiry we received friendly, quick, and informative responses. Bob and his team were professional and hardworking, even in the sweltering heat of mid-summer! This was a big but also the best decision we have made and we plan to continue working with Mr. Pools for our pool maintenance! Highly recommend!

Bob and his crew were polite and respectful throughout the whole installation of our pool. There was never a question gone unanswered. They all arrived at a reasonable hour everyday and always kept in contact about everything. We love the outcome of our project and were looking forward to work with them again. Bob and his crew were efficient, punctual and clear with all communication. We had one 'surprise' that required attention ( neither of us could of known until construction started) but other than that the project was completed on time and on budget. Mr. Pools has been the best business we have worked with since building our home. We moved into our home Nov 2018. We contacted Mr. Pools in March 2019 and were able to sit down, discuss our contract and set a date for pool installation which weather permitting was August 2019. After talking with Bob I was excited and optimistic about our pool and backyard.

Although the summer wasn't ideal Mr. Pools showed up and got our pool installed in under 2 weeks. On top of putting our pool in, the builder of our home had buried a huge stump in our backyard Bob and his team pulled it out and moved it for us no charge. I am sure that isn't even in the job description. Anytime we have had a question or concern he is easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. Bob had recommended for us to rough in for a slide we said no against his advice lol. Welp guess who ended up wanting a slide 2 years later. Bob was super supportive and even with COVID and product shortages he managed to get us a slide and install it before our daughters graduation party.

Him and his team were so professional and skilled that you couldn't even tell they had to dig in our yard to install it. Bob and his team care so much about their customers they teach them how to manage their own Pools. My husband knows how to check the water chemicals and add what is needed to balance it out. When we lived in California we paid someone $100 a week to that.

Now we can save that and do it on our own. One more thing everytime Mr. Pools opens our pool they power wash our cover and deck. Our neighbor has a pool through lighthouse and the last 2 years their pool has be opened incorrectly with no incentives like powerwashing. Thank you so much for making our backyard a nice getaway!

My pool was built by Mr. Pools 2 years ago, everything has been great. Bob was very great to work with from the start of the process all the way to the end, He had made the experience of building the pool very pleasant. Our pool was fully installed in under two weeks. He asked me if I wanted a rough in for a potential future slide but I declined only wanting it a year later. Bob was still able to make it happen for us. Mr. Pools staff are very knowledgeable and will teach anyone about the investment that has been made.

After a few short weeks of his staff checking my water, feel confident walking into the store knowing what chemicals are needed to care for my pool. Thank you Bob and your business for everything you've done for our family and building the backyard of our dreams. If we ever purchased another property Mr Pools will be our first call.

Bob, his sons and his entire team are professional and you feel in good hands. Every phone call, text message & email answered immediately. All moving parts of such a large construction project were well orchestrated even when up against weather and supply chain issues. Second time we have used him and his team and would use them again. What a great crew.

Please stop selling above ground pools with the assurance of installation from a recommended installer.the installer does not respond! I have talked to multiple people who have gone through the same experience as me.buying an above ground pool kit from Mr Pools only to never receive a response from their recommended installation contractors and be stuck.

After researching multiple different above ground pool sellers, I decided to purchase an above ground pool kit from Mr Pools because they assured the pool could be installed by one of their two qualified preferred installation contractors, but not by them directly. I was told I could not receive the contact information for these installers until after I purchased the pool.

Once I paid my invoice, they provided me with the contact information of one of the installers, Randy, and I promptly contacted him. I called, left voice mail, and texted him and never received any response, not even just to get on his installation schedule. After over a month of waiting for a response, I contacted Mr Pools to request the contact information of their second recommended installer and was told I could not have this information even though I repeatedly let them know Randy was not responding at all.

It has now been months with no response. I understand there is high demand for pool installation this summer and I wasn't expecting to have the pool installed immediately. However it is extremely unprofessional and wrong to recommend installers who are known to never respond to customers and leave us stuck spending thousands on an uninstalled pool we bought because you said you had people that could install them.

This apparently has been going on for a few years as I talked to someone who purchased an above ground pool kit 3 years ago and encountered the exact same problem with the same recommended installer.

Purchased Floc from them for $16.00. I ask a female employee how to use it and did exactly what she said to do. The product did nothing so I called the next day only to have the same woman argue with me over the phone and tell me what I did wrong. I tried telling her that I followed HER instructions only to have her get more aggressive and talk over me. What a joke of an employee, I'll NEVER go back.

Repeat customers back to get a new liner and auto cover fabric along with other internal components. Bob, family and whole team at Mr. Pools knocked it out in time for my daughters birthday party. Start to finish just like the first go around was professional and within budget. I would highly recommend Mr. pools!

Mr. Pools was fantastic to work with! They completed a 20x40 inground vinyl liner pool with an autocover for us in April. One of the most frustrating things about any project is lack of communication from a contractor. Bob Jones has always been very responsive. From our initial meeting to completion of our pool, he has always got back to me same day. Bob was up front and honest every step of the way with the design of the pool to the steps it was needed to complete construction. If you want a pool company that is honest, professional, responsive and that you can count on to show up and do a great job, Mr. Pools will not disappoint!

First off, from reading some of the other reviews it seems as if people have some unreasonable expectations. Anyone is going to make mistakes unless you walk on water. The question is if the resolution was fair, prompt and honesty handled. I can say that I have no experience with pools and ever since purchasing a house with a pool, bob senior has been really good to work with.

He has always answered all my questions thru email at almost any time of the day, responds to texts and calls right away. The store is handled very well and is very nice. Junior knows his chemistry for sure. Give them a shot, I think they will earn your business.

Spoke with a female on the phone that was pleasant and helpful. She set me up with Bob who told me he was "very busy". He Set up a date to come out and discuss pool options 3 weeks later and NEVER showed. No call, no text, no email. I had emailed him earlier in the day to verify he was still coming by and he responded "I will be there". Thanks for making me wait at home for nothing. Is this how you conduct business? We already hired someone else. Would never recommend this business.

Bob & company installed our pool last summer. After a long wait due to a rainy season, we finally got the pool of our dreams. Bob's wife has been a great help in teaching us the ins and outs of pool chemistry. She is patient and willing to answer all questions. His crew is kind, helpful and extremely hard working. Now that everything if finally complete (our landscaping was able to be installed a couple weeks back) we have a vacation in our own backyard.

The first step in the process is a reassuring face to face meeting with Bob, owner as well as pool design and construction expert. The pool construction phase was an amazing process to watch, we were able to witness a complete transformation of our backyard and were swimming in a week, just as described! Bob was on site from start to finish making sure all expectations were met.

The entire team was extremely friendly, professional and efficient. We had our in-ground pool put in early 2018, and Mr. Pools did a great job designing and constructing our custom pool, as well as executing the permits, electrical, gas, cement, fence and LED light phases. We have been very happy with our pool and would highly recommend Mr. Pools to everyone looking for the best Pool Team in Northern Ohio. One thing to remember is to get your design and dates confirmed and locked in late fall so you get the construction phase started early in the summer.

NO. Just No. Lacking in attention to detail. Every phase of every project had an issue that had been "forgotten" or just flat done incorrectly. For example. Upon the installation of an expensive new pool filter that we bought from them, they reinstalled the Inlet and Outlet lines -BACKWARDS (this was done by the owner personally). This caused my gas heater to back pressure as soon as I turned the pool on!

My first thought was, this is the example of "30 yrs" of experience? Amateur mistake. He had to return and correct the error. There were other issues as well. When the new Coverstar pool cover was installed the team forgot to leave the special tool that came with the cover. The tool is used to REMOVE the cover in the spring (as well as adjust it if needed throughout the winter).

This tool is a crucial item. This is a big mistake. They returned later to give me the tool, but only after I brought the error to their attention. Maybe this detail wouldn't have been missed if the owner hadn't left my job early to get to another job? Lack of attention to details. Just avoid. Read reviews on BBB and Angie List. I am not alone.

This is the best company ever! Friendly knowledgeable and hard working people! The owner busts his butt making sure the customer is happy!they specialize in swimming pools and concrete work!very professional and I would recommend them to anybody.

Very slow process. Was told crew works 10-12 hour days until done. They might have been there 6 hours a day. 2 hour lunches. Very unprofessional. Dishonest.
