Meier's Outdoor World

Terrible prices. I just purchased clorine tablets. Last year they were $50. This year they were $99. The clerk said prices went up. I went on Amazon and the same tablets were $55. Do your homework first.

Meiers installed an in ground pull for me 6 years ago. They did a great job and the service has been excellent. I buy all my chemicals and accessories at their showroom. The staff there are super helpful all the time. They test the water for free and let me know exactly what I need to add. Bill and Zach are awesome. I would definitely recommend them.

Hard to find parts and the professionals to install them. However, the convenience comes at a price. Do shop around first.

We had Meier Pool install our pool 4 yrs ago and have no regrets. They did an amazing job from start to finish! We go their showroom for all of our pool needs and the staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. 2 yrs ago we had an issue with our water (our fault not theirs). We took a water sample to another pool store nearby for a 2nd opinion.

The other pool stores advise was definitely the wrong direction to correct what we needed. So we went back to Meier pool and followed their advise. So glad we did as their advise cleared the problem at a fraction of the cost. We will not use anyone but Meier Pool! Highly recommend them.

I spoke with Harry who gave me a good impression and fair price on a fence. The unfortunate thing is that they build the fence 6 too tall even though the permit clearly stated the height restriction and I was forced into and difficult position with the village zoning department. They tried to charge me $250 to fix the problem but I complained and they finally agreed to come back and make the corrections for free. Unfortunately, I would realize they were just stalling and never planned to take care of the issue.

Meiers installed our in-ground pool 6 years ago and we highly recommend them if you are looking for a pool. They stand behind all of their products they sell and always have the latest and best products available in their showroom/pool park along with a friendly and very knowledgeable staff. An example is the Dolphin Robotic Cleaner I just purchased from Meiers which is a difference maker in pool cleaning/vacuuming. The Dolphin does such a superior job that I cancelled my weekly pool maintenance service as it was no longer needed! Thank you Meiers!

Buying a fence here. I decided to change the dimensions and Harry has no problem coming back out to re measure and change the install date. Great place.

We recently had new pool liner installed in our pool that was about 12 years old. From start to finish Meier's outdoor world did a fantastic job! When we had our pool built 12 years ago they were the ones that built it they did a fantastic job! I highly recommend Meier's outdoor world for all your pool installations and new pool liners they are great!

We had fence repairs made that they never completed and won't return phone calls. They left one of our fence posts cut off still in the ground and boards are missing. We were told they would come back to complete job 8 months ago! The sales person was very unprofessional when we brought the issues to his attention.

They have a great showroom, Sales people are slick talkers. Too bad they don't keep there word. We live on the Lake the deep end of the Pool is slightly below the water table. The only time you can work on the Pool is in the spring or after the Fall. In Fall they open the McHenry Dam to lower the water level and close it again on Easter to start filling the Chain for the summer season.

We were in the store four times before xmas working out the details for the new Liner, The store manager was so tired of my concerns he even made a flip remark. If Meier's has to dig a hole next to the pool to lower the level it will at no charge. I put a 55% deposit on Jan 11 and again is was told i would be the first pool of the season which starts on Easter weekend.

Once they received the check that was it you can't find anyone anymore. The Pool was finally finished last week the second week of June. To make things worst there is now air in the suction line which means one of the pipes cracked and is sucking in air. If you like headaches go to Meier's They certainly will have a few surprises for you. On the positive side the color of the liner looks good.

Very disappointed with their pool service. In April we requested a quote to restore the steps and replace the liner and winter cover. They initially installed the pool over 20 years ago. After repeated calls we were finally told tonight that they no longer do pool renovations. It would have been nice to know back in April. I wouldn't recommend them for any pool install since they don't stand behind their products.
