Our owner Steve Gold grew up in the pool industry. Although he founded Mega Pool Warehouse Inc. in 1998, he has over 25 years of pool-building experience. Unprofessional and does not follow through with promises. They ask for much of the money upfront and once they receive the money the work stops. You have to fight to get them back to working. You won't hear anything from them for weeks. They left our pool a mess with concrete all over the place. Very dishonest and rude. Only positive reviews you will read are from friends or employees. Real customers do not recommend this company. stay away from this company.

We have been trying to get the pool builders back at the pool they installed for us over a year now with repeated text messages from Steve and Sam stating they will take care of it. The liner needs to be put back into place in the areas it has popped out and a snake is now residing in (after only a few weeks of the install). I also mentioned the several rather large wrinkles left in the liner.
I again received several text messages stating those would also be taken care of. None of these issues have been resolved to date (and it's been over a year). Sam came out once about a year ago to check on the wrinkles but said the ground was too wet to do anything abut it. We have had literally hundreds of dry days since that time. Steve/Sam/Sean. can one of you get these issues resolved before we open it up this year and be done with us?
I believe Steve has since retired so PLEASE respond to us and get this resolved. The corner of the liner in the pic below is much worse (larger) now. that pic was taken shortly after the pool install. the wrinkles extend all the way down to the floor of the pool but couldn't get that pic.

Fantastic customer service! They absolutely know their stuff and treat you like family! After spending a lot of my time looking locally and online, we got the best deal and the best service from Mega Pool Warehouse. Don't let the "warehouse" name fool you they are a local family owned and operated small business. Steve and his crew were awesome to work with!

It won't let me respond so I'll rate it again, too bad I have to give it 1 star because mega pools owners professionalism doesn't even deserve 1 star! Mr. Owner, you stated that my friends were Mr & Mrs B, I have no idea who that is so that must be another customer that you screwed over. Your company and your team, have no respect for other people's property, leave trash lay around, kill the grass with the dirt you dig out and leave on the yard for weeks.

Your team left dirt in the public street with their machinery, didn't even have the common courtesy to spray it off. It is my policy as owner of Mega Pool Warehouse to not get into the mud so to speak even if a customer tells blatant lies. I will only say that we have built an average of 33 ground pools a year since it began in 1998. We have many great referrals. The two complaints on yelp, I'll gladly address with any prospective client. What I will write here is only this. Kim B. has a right to her opinion.
So do we. We walked off the job after her husband threatened physical harm to an employee of mine. Never will I put any employee at risk by an out of control client. To this day, we maintain the pool is beautiful, functions perfectly and we have the pictures to prove it. As far as telling a client to not get a final is just ridiculous. We CANNOT complete our end of a swimming pool without inspections signed off.
I am the person who pulls the permits. The client must have their fence up, with a self locking, self latching gate to code before we call in a final. For years I have told my clients that although there is no immediate rush to finish the fence, they are to abstain from using the pool if they don't have it completed in a reasonable time frame as it is no big deal as long as it's not being used.
We don't do the fencing unless hired. The client chose to do their own fence or hire someone other than my company. We can't call the final in until they do. That's what happened. The pool is fantastic and again we have all the legal docs regarding both clients pools and many pictures of them as well. I didn't build a multimillion dollar successful business that has put in over 700 pools to just get up and not do everything we can to make the customer's expectations realized. Alas, sometime they are wrong.
As a point of fact. My mom who wasn't ill in July, died last year in Florida in August. It's true I flew back and forth as she began her illness and then when it looked like she wouldn't recover, I stayed the month of August until she passed last August 31st. However I was in touch with my crew chief and was made aware of Mr. B's threats.
I told them to leave the site until I flew back home. It sickens me that a personality trait of contempt for me or my team and our company would induce them to say I used my mon's death to hurt their timeline. Terrible experience. Biggest problem being required inspections were not completed as Mega Pool Warehouse never scheduled them, despite taking breaks from our project for days "for inspections to be completed". The owner, Steve Gold, told us it was no big deal and to just call the county office the following spring and tell them it was overlooked.
He said it would be no issue and they would pass us. We called the county ourselves because this sounded shady, and the county zoning officials adamantly told us our pool is not permitted as long as required inspections are incomplete. The official told us we would have difficulty selling our home, obtaining insurance, etc. if our pool remained unpermitted, yet the only way to complete the inspections would potentially be to demo the concrete. Steve cussed at us when he found out we called the county and told us to remember that "he takes care of his friend clients but as*hole clients pay more." He also told us "the fewer people involved, the better." Totally unprofessional, lying, and manipulative individual. Additionally, the crew almost got into a physical fight on our property at one point, one crew member (Steve Gold's son) was sleeping in his car in our driveway during working hours (not breaks). The timeline was ridiculously longer than promised. Incredibly stressful and upsetting experience. Never use them!

June, 2016 I want to say thanks to Steve Gold and his team for the outstanding job you did on our pool project. Please let this serve as a recommendation for you and your Mega Pool team. As you know, my wife and I contemplated on this pool project for over five years. I still can't believe how comfortable we felt and still do feel with you, Steve.
You had the ability to crystallize our thoughts and vision on what we wanted for our back yard pool area. We have been involved with construction projects before and none as large as this except when we built our home. We feel it went as seamless as an outdoor project of this scale could especially with all the rain we had in May. When we first met, you quoted us a price that was reasonable and comparable to the three other companies we had in our home.
Because of your vision on what we could accomplish with our entire outdoor living area, we saw you were far superior than other pool builders in the Columbus ( specifically Powell) area. You offered to show us pools you had built in our development to gather ideas for us. We knew of a neighbor whose pool ( another local pool builder's project) sat in his backyard for two months while you completed our other neighbor's pool project in less than three weeks on the same street!
We spoke with both neighbor's as you know and what they said about the process of Each company and their choices made our choice 100% crystal clear. And we are so happy we went with Mega Pool Warehouse. We budgeted up to $100,000 and it became even clearer that you are the consummate pro, Steve. You turned a very challenging sloped back yard with little useable space into a multi- level outdoor oasis that now entertains my most important clients. Jen, Jayden and Chase :-) as well as our friends. Lastly, I want to thank you for your continued follow up with us on questions while basically hounding you as we learned this pool.
