Laguna Pools and Designs, Ltd. answers some of the most popular questions asked by customers about pool construction and maintenance. We recommend completely draining and chemically cleaning the plaster of your pool once every two years. This cleaning removes most of the buildup of calcium on the plaster surface, while also removing scale caused by hard water, over chemically treated pool water, and changing stabilizer, etc. Turn filter pump off, press down handle fully, rotate to "waste", release handle, turn filter pump on.

Buyer Beware! My wife contacted Toni at Laguna Pools a couple of weeks ago. When she came out to measure our back yard and get a copy of our survey she had her mother in the car with her, so sitting down and discussing what we had in mind or what Laguna had to offer in regards to a pool was NOT an option. When I went by her office to retrieve my survey, she handed it to me and wished me a fine day.

Not one attempt to set a future appointment. NOTHING. In two weeks the ONLY thing we have received from Tony in regards to a pool, is a picture of a quote texted to my wife on her phone. Not one attempt to sit down and discuss a proposal, not one attempt to sit down and discuss what we want in a pool. Not one brochure. Not even a picture of a pool. Nothing!

With this level of interest and desire in her potential customers, I hazard to think what building a pool would be like with this company. My wife and I will be building a pool, but it WILL NOT be a Laguna Pool.

The reason why this pool company is so successful and professional in my opinion is because of the people they have working for them. We dealt with several of the employees/assets of the company but the two that we dealt with the most were Jeff Martin who was our designer that took our vision out of our head and placed it in the computer how we vision our pool and outdoor living area to look.

Second was Steve, the onsite project manager, who was very helpful in all our questions and kept us informed throughout the steps of the project. Any questions we have, Jeff or Steve had the answer for you right on the spot. No wonder why they are well known in the pool building community. They are two great assets of the Laguna Pool Family.

We planned on getting a pool for over 2 years. Talked with Mr. Jeff Martin the whole way. In that same time period we got other quotes some more some less, some showed up, some didn't. Had some show up after a month. We were a first time pool buyer. What mattered to us most was the pool companies longevity, integrity. Guess what Laguna was that!

We saved for over a year, restructured the design multiple times, did Jeff Martin show any kind of annoyance, the answer is No. we went round and round on some issues, which Jeff Martin was always right, and Dammit i hate being wrong! He had the audacity to tell us no a couple of times! Which in hindsight he was right! so we finally pulled the trigger put in a 19000+ gallon rectangle pool.

From start to Finish 4 1/2 weeks. how many problems and hiccups did we have "0"! nada none. Steve the project manager was there the whole time even if you didn't see him, So Johnny on the spot. we did have a problem the pool was leaking water in the yard, well NOT really! it was the sprinkler system install. when we called Steve he came out with another guy and guess what they found the multiple culprits and charged me a big fat $0. when you spend or when i spend that kind of money your always waiting for that one hiccup.

Guess what we are still waiting. would i recommend Laguna, most definitely, and have. Would i use them again, to bad they got me for life. by the way, its been 4 months and no problems.

Buyer Beware! They are very nice when selling you the pool but use contractors that do very poor work. I experienced a gas leak from there fire bowls they installed (pipes deteriorated underground not to code) and Laguna gave me the run around about fixing it. First they try to convince me over the phone it was not gas I was smelling coming from the ground where they had run the line.

When I finally told them I would call the city they agreed to send there plumber as long as I paid him $125/hr to tell me if there was a gas leak. The day he was scheduled to come he never called or showed. The next day I called Charmaine and she told me he would be there that day. I get a call from the plumber that he didn't have the right address and name so he would not be coming to my house.

I call Laguna and was told by Charmaine that she must have given him the wrong jnfo over the phone and I shouldn't have taken off work to wait for him. I asked to reschedule and she told me he was busy and she would call me back. My husband and I both tried to call her and the plumber back but to no response. The receptionist told us for 2 days she is at lunch all day long. Helpful until they cash your check them don't expect to ever hear from them again if you have issues.

I would give them 3 1/2 stars but that's not a choice. We love our Laguna Pool & it turned out beautifully, however.their timing sucks! We closed on our house on 4/15 & were told that they would start immediately. They were supposed to get POA approval but someone dropped the ball on that! They started about 3 weeks later. They did not make one appointment or deadline that they set.it was always about 3 days later.

We were told it would be finished by Memorial Day & we were having to push & beg them to finish by the end of June. Also, someone thought it would be a good idea to put all of the pool pump equipment right by our bedroom, when it should have been around the corner by our air conditioner units. Wouldn't that make sense, keep it all in one place?

I blame my husband for that though.he signed off on the plans without catching that. Having an issue with the pump smelling like natural gas every time we heat the hot tub.we'll see how their customer service is when I call today!

These people are borderline mentally handicap. I have had nothing but problems with them. The pool was supposed to be finished weeks ago and they said that they screwed up the material order and now after waiting a week and a half for the right materials to come in they still aren't here working on the pool. The salesman Rick just sits back and laughs after he makes the sale because he knows as soon as the contract is signed that he is no longer involved. It's a terrible operation and I would think twice about using them!

My husband and I have been looking into building a pool. After meeting with multiple pool companies, Jeff came out and gave a quote. He was honest and not a pushy salesman. We have decided to hold off on the pool but we will go with Jeff at Laguna pools. Thanks for the assistance.

I have had nothing but problems with my pool. We ordered a larger chlorination system and they installed a smaller r and then CHARGED US FOR THE LARGER. When the pump has broken twice, fortunately my nephew is a Certified Pool Operator and fixed it for us.

Yes, they are very helpful and courteous when they are trying to sell you a pool, however when you need service they could care less. Why should they they already have your money. The Bosses were in Canada, so I'm told. The repairman arrived at my home he failed to call me and when I was informed that he was there by my mother that lives across the street I left work and was half way there (5) minutes I called Laguna and they told me that he had already left and could not turn around. How for could he have been? Thank You so much LAGUNA POOLS in KATY for your excellent service!
