Hillside Pools

I have used Hillside pools for over 15 years. In the beginning they were great. They cleaned my pool and would leave notes letting me know when there were issues that needed to be taken care of. The last couple of years there service has gone way down hill. The techs they use do not care and do very bad work. My agreement with them was for my pool to be brushed (including the tile), vacuumed and all chemicals provided.

In the last couple of years they never brush the tile, and they are not adding chemicals. On several occasions I return back from work only to discover my pool looks like a stagnant pond. I then have to spend the entire weekend cleaning the pool myself at great expense for the chemicals that they should be adding. I have complained several times but it is not getting better. It's too bad as Mark is a great guy. I will be cancelling my services with them and going with a new service that cares.

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness Quality went down the longer we were with them. When there were issues with equipment, they didn't tells us. Got invoices for services not provided, and came to an end with green walls as soon as they left.

Poor quality, lack of follow-up calls at times, over billing for services not provided. Took more time getting equipment out of the truck than the actual work completed (Or not completed the past few weeks). The nail that finished this off was a notice about a price increase due to supply changes. I can get that, but if your quality goes down, I cannot

Don't even think about using this company!, Their service guys are the worst. They are lazy and make excuses about everything. There is always something wrong why they cannot clean the pool. They allow my pool to keep going green and then charge me more money to clear it. I bought tablets and a floater to keep my pool clear and when I stopped, the pool began to go green.

This guy came by on Friday and said he put 4 gallons of chlorine in my pool. Today is Monday and the pool is still GREEN!. The guy did something to my pool pump and now it is "locked" and I am not able to unlock it or turn it on. The owner seems surprised that I am upset and refuses to even look at the pump. The weather is in the 90's. How professional is that.!

Many times the pool looks worst than when they came. They do nothing but run up charges. They will not be getting paid for this last fiasco they have created! I am having a complete remodel done to my pool and I will never let these guys any where near it.

Terrible company. Customer service is a disaster and girl on the phone is rude, I hope they will go out of business soon

Left a voice mail a couple of months ago to get a quote for a new pool but never returned my call.

7 years business with hillside pool! This is the filter they been cleaned for the past 7 years! Well I'm a girl who doesn't know anything about pool, for people out there be aware of pool companies like this! BIG SCAMS!

Can someone please call me back. This company was suppose to send someone over last Friday to drain my pool and clean it out. No one showed up until Monday. The guy came drained my pool and I haven't seen him sense. Today is Wednesday and my pool is dirty and empty. I call there office and the lady says all She does is billing. That she will have some one call Me, that's the same story I got yesterday. Does anyone know who is the owner of this business?

My children do know how to swim but if they fall in to an empty pool they will hurt themselves. I explained this to the lady when the order was done and she said it would get done all in one day. Here we are 3 days and no one has come by to clean out the pool. So it can be refilled.

I have used Hillside Pools for years. If I have an issue, I can email or call and it gets taken care of. I know they will be there every week and they are good to let us know their vacation schedule and what actions they will take (chemical wise) to keep the pool looking good. Excellent company with excellent people.

Chris and the office gal were rude from the beginning. He told me he couldn't put a new liner in my pool until the end of summer, and when I told him Olympia could start right away and was 1000 cheaper, he told me my pool would have all kinds of problems and hung up on me. So unprofessional! Will not recommend to any of my clients or friends.

I fired them. Terrible customer service. My tenant informed me that Hillside hadn't been there in a while and we're cashing my checks. The pump was broke and I never heard a word from Hillside. Meanwhile, my pool turned green. Run for the hills!

They used to be ok - in the last few months, their service has gone completely down. Walls not being cleaned, algae growing in pool, chlorine not replaced. The guy that services it doesn't sound very knowledgeable about what he does every week when you ask him in person. Terrible service, and what's worse, terrible attitudes from the front office. Sandy in particular was quite rude and defensive. Mark never gives you his phone number. Something shady is starting to happen at this company. If you aren't their customer yet, think twice.

Love our new pool(budget conscious remodel). Demo started one year ago today. Had waited to add a review to see how the new finishes held up after a year of use. Very happy with everything. Using the pool twice as much as before the remodel; Mainly due to the added Baja shelf. For one, the 6 water depth at the shelf tends to act as a pool heater. also because my dogs are no longer scared of the pool and are jumping onto the shelf almost daily.

I should add that our construction took a few weeks longer than expected, and about 5% more cost than planned. Being in the construction industry myself, I found this rather typical. Yes, there were surprises, but how you recover from them is more important in my opinion. Good job Mark and team, thank you!
