Services
Fronheiser Pools began in the summer of 1965 as a part time business run by Kenneth Fronheiser. Even as a small business, Fronheiser Pools earned a reputation for quality swimming pool construction, which continues today. Ken's son, Ronald Fronheiser, began working full-time with Fronheiser Pools in 1971 after graduating from Penn State University.
Fronheiser Pools is a full service pool and spa company. Our experts handle everything from pool design and pool building to swimming pool maintenance and repairs. Whether you need help winterizing or summarizing your swimming pool, regular maintenance or even emergency service-you can count on our team of reliable pool contractors to expertly handle each and every one of your pool and spa needs.
Many families choose vinyl liner pools because of the ease of maintenance, the soft feel of the surface, and the nearly limitless array of sizes and shapes. At Fronheiser Pools, we set ourselves apart from other Gunite pool builders by continuing on with our long-standing tradition of building quality swimming pools.
Fronheiser will come out and tie steel inside the excavated hole. This step is very critical in that the quality of the rebar will help to determine the structural strength of the pool. Dry-mix gunite is one of two main materials used in the construction of a Gunite, or sometimes called "Concrete" pool.

Usually good service but this morning had to unload and load 10 five gallon chlorine containers without assistance. Thank goodness my granddaughter was with this lady couldn't have done it. Wasn't even asked if we needed help

Had a rough start to our pool opening with Fronheiser but they have contacted us consistently and heard our complaints. Now everything has been resolved. Went from 1 star to 4- left at four because of how terrible the initial interactions were. Thanks for making it right.

Horrendous service. They don't make appointments, they just show up whenever they feel like it. They charge over $600 for "pool opening" which apparently just includes removing the cover and nothing else - they had to keep coming back out over and over again because they kept "forgetting" stuff even though it was selected in their own paperwork. I paid for them up front to maintain the pool all summer and 10 days after they "opened" it I'm still waiting to be able to use it.

They claim to have cleaned it but there is no indication that anything was ever done. They claim to have put chemicals in the filter but the filter was never even turned on and the pool is still cloudy and dirty. When asked for them to show me what to do when they are here next, I was told "it's not our pool so just google it".yes, for $3k/year you are told to just "google it".

Company seems to be struggling and customer service appears to be a thing of the past here. Update: instead of actually offering to fix the issues their lack of communication and service has caused, they are simply cutting off customers who leave bad reviews. Stay away. Update #2: Upon hiring a much more responsive pool company which performed the cleaning and opening Fronheiser was hired to do but failed to, it was discovered that someone seemingly dropped a fully extended Leatherman Tool into the pool while closing it last year and simply left it to get stuck in the drain over the winter. Furthermore, the filter was completely clogged and simply needed a good rinsing to work, which Fronheiser also failed to do during their alleged multiple trips to the property to open and clean the pool. The filter could have been severely damaged if not for my hiring another company who discovered the issue.

I was very disappointed with the pool opening service we received today. We paid for the basic pool opening service which includes start up of the main pump, testing of our booster pump and heater. When Fronheiser came to open our pool up today there was no testing of the booster pump or heater, in fact my booster pump was left leaking in the pool shed and would not even turn on from the main switch. Heater was also instructed on the contract to be left at a temperature but the heater was not even turned on.

No contact was made when they were here, no note was left for us to to let us know if something was wrong with the booster pump and what repairs were needed. When I called I was told the techs tablet was not updated so they could not see his notes. None of the chemicals we had purchased were opened so I don't even know if the pool has been balanced.

We just bought our summers supply of chemicals from them and paid for this opening which was over $700 just to have this disappointing experience. I definitely hope they make this right with us or we will be finding a new company to work with.

This morning, my pool was green and cloudy. I went to Fronheiser's with a sample of my water. The young woman working the samples counter was able to tell me exactly what I needed. 5 hours later and I can already see an improvement. Great advice and prompt service.

Our family has been a Fronheiser Pools customer for over 25 years. They put our pool in and we purchased a high end spa from them. Always had them service our pool and purchased all of our chemicals from them. This year (2019) we discovered a tear in our pool liner. Multiple calls to service to come and look at it and I even agreed before anyone came that it probably needs a new liner.

I asked for a quote and was told it would come shortly. Two weeks later and nothing. No one returns calls or responds. I am sad to say that we will no longer do business with them. I called another local business and they responded within an hour with a quote that was very reasonable and they worked with me on replacing the filter, chlorination system and adding an automatic vacuum system. Question to Fronheiser; is this how you plan to treat all of your long time customers?

I am going on 11 years with my Fronheiser pool and have had no problems with it at all. When going for chemicals or need a question answered regarding my pool I go to the Bally location and they are very helpful and friendly. I have several times called the service department for advice and they were as well friendly and answered all my questions. Quality pools and great service!

We had a pool put in about 20 years ago and we love it! We only needed to replace the liner about a year ago. We have continued to buy pool supplies from their Bally store and have found their staff to be very knowledgeable. They have topnotch customer service and are very responsive to any maintenance or service needs. Highly recommend Fronheiser Pools!

I visited Fronheiser in the winter months, so instead of finding a pool-supply store I found maybe the most comprehensive Christmas-supply store I've ever set foot into. Lighting decorations of all shapes and sizes, from incandescents to LEDs, and even including remotely-controlled ones. Wreaths, ornaments, and even doormats were in full display for the season.

Staff were similarly in the Christmas spirit, and at every turn there was someone smiling and asking if they could help. Even though the store was packed, registers were moving quickly and I had to marvel at the efficiency of it all. When the holidays roll around again, I know where I'm going to outfit my home - and it will be worth the drive.
