Horrific purchase with Craftmaster Custom Pools in West Palm Beach Florida since we paid our deposit. Let me start my review by saying I give everyone the benefit of doubt and am understanding that things don't go according to plan. In fact, I account for hiccups, unforeseen circumstances, and errors. We're all human. Stuff happens. BUT, there is a pattern of things going wrong that haunt me three years later and they are unwilling to help us resolve the issues.
Please allow me to list just a few of the things that we have struggled with, with Craftmaster Custom Pools. *Note: I hear similar things when I speak to others who have used Craftmaster Custom Pools. The facts only: Pricing was not as agreed when the contract was signed. Over 5-moths build time. I was scammed by their electrician on a "side deal" (I should have expected that, right?) No follow-up service or pool care instructions. Sinking deck Replaced pump TWICE in less than 3 years THE POOL LEAKS The leaking pool was the final straw.
We called them and told them about the leaking pool (2 years, 11 months after install.) They explained it was likely evaporation due to the lowest rainfall in years. That sounded reasonable. Now we're losing about an inch a day and when we called them back, they said the pool is no longer under warranty and that it's not their problem. The warranty was good for 3-years.
A reputable company would have checked. Knowing what I know, I believe it was an intentional stall to avoid having to fix the problem. As a result, it has cost us thousands in repairs and extra maintenance (increased water, electric, and chemical bills) and a lot of work. For the record, I am not listing all the issues that are "subjective" just the undisputed facts Moreover, I have had a pool installed before Craftmaster Custom Pools so I have a baseline to compare them against.
As you can see here, they have one of the lowest ratings on Google Bottom line: Save yourself time, money, and years of headache and go elsewhere. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more details.

Love the team at Craftmaster Custom Pools! If you're looking for exceptional customer service and a company that will be there for you for the entire process of your large investment to your backyard then look no further! This was the 2nd pool project with Jim's company and I will without a doubt continue to recommend him to anyone that needs a pool. Jim listens to what you want but also after so many years of experience is able to offer suggestions that you might even end up preferring more.
Straight to the point and you're working directly with the owner so no worries on what extra you're being charged for commission. Love working with Marty as well. He is always so attentive, friendly and on point with the work being done. Maureen as well is awesome to work with. As I mentioned, you can't go wrong with doing business with Craftmaster Custom Pools.

I was very nervous about deciding on a pool builder, but after looking into 4or 5 of the companies in our area, decided to choose Craftmaster. I really liked the personal attention Jim and his team provided and was so pleased we did not experience any major obstacles. I would definitely recommend this builder to others!

My wife and I recently had our pool built by Craftmaster Custom Pools and we are loving every bit of it! We interviewed two other companies prior to contacting Craftmaster's. The reason we chose Craftmaster Custom Pools was because Jim (owner) came out personally and sat down with us to go over all of the details, design, equipment selection, and more.
The process took about three months, start to finish (including permit process and HOA approval). Jim, Maureen, and Marty went above and beyond and were very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process, especially when there were hiccups along the way, and trust me, there will be. We've learned a lot about the pool construction business within these three months and I can tell you that all of these builders are pretty much the same and hire just about the same sub-contractor's.
The most important thing about hiring a pool builder is to make sure that they will be there for you every step of the way as Craftmaster's was. Anytime there was a problem, I would call Jim or Marty and they made sure to rectify the situation immediately. If we had to do it all over again, we would for sure call Craftmaster Custom Pools!

Jim is the owner of Crafmaster Custom Pools who was the first one to come out and give us a bid on a pool. He walked my property and told me everything I needed to change with my fence and gates to pass inspections witch not one of the other 4 pool companies "Sales Reps" not owners, never mentioned. He also told me that I had to have alarms on all of our doors and windows leading to the back yard to pass inspection witch none of the other 4 pool companies "Sales Reps" mentioned. Jim also provided the alarms for me.
If Jim or his assistant Moraine (Who is very professional and pleasant to talk to) didn't answer the phone when I called they would always call me back by the end of the day and answer any questions I had. Jim's prices are very reasonable compared to the other companies in fact we added a spa last minute and Jims price was half of what the other companies wanted.
Also after the pool was finished we installed a pool heater witch Jim installed for me cheaper than I could do it myself. If we ever buy another house and it doesn't have a pool I'll skip the other 4 companies and just give Jim a call. " At the end of the day" was I happy? I'll let the 5 stars speak for me.
