We had them open our pool 5/27. They broke a t handle to the backwash, inserted the spa jets cockeyed, left rubber plugs in the pool walls. They left the cover connectors about ground, the sand tank rim was loose and leaked. All this without a word from the workers when they left. When I called, the female who answered the phone chastised me for calling 5 days later.

I told her that I hadn't been in the pool area until the weekend and what difference did it make when I called. She again copped an attitude. She said that she would review the paperwork AND if she found any write up's. She would see what they would do for us.we are so done with this company.

Called in February to make sure my pool would be open for end of May. They came in first week in May - they could not tell me the time they would be coming on the day before my appointment. They came 4:30 pm on Friday. I pipe that they installed shot off. I had to make another service call. They came and fixed that (on a Friday) big $$$$, but then service person said he would come and install board for my heater on Tuesday (second week of May).

I came to my shore house last week in May - found they never came to fix my heater, so I had to make another appointment. Said they would come on Friday before Memorial Day. I called late in the afternoon to see where they were. I was told they were in Margate (I am in Brigantine) and they were on the way. They never came. They used to be very good.

Last two years service has been very poor. Last year they were supposed to open my pool. My wife scheduled it, I was not here when they came. I came down the day after they opened my pool to turn on my filter and see that I had a leak. I know they opened my pool without turning on the pump because I was not at my locked house to turn on breaker (that is inside my house).

I called to complain about the leak and was told that they turned on the filter and tested it. They were not able to because my house was locked. They basically said their best man was there to do the job, and basically called me a liar. I will be changing companies. P.S. I'm guessing they are reading their reviews. An hour after I posted this, a service person (who was very nice and I liked) came out and fixed our heater.

Critical: Value I called to get a price on replacement filters. Of course they had them in stock but the price for 1 was as much as a case of 4 other places.

Critical: Responsiveness I called this company and had them do an estimate. They came to my house weeks after they were supposed to and then they never sent the estimate to me. I have reached out to them several times. They came to my house in November and now it's March. I would not recommend this company.

I called them trying to schedule a consultation for a pool that needed alot of work. Not only did i have to chase after them to come and look at it by calling them multiple times to schedule an appt, but they also didnt bother to call me back just to let me know that they "don't want to take on the job". No other explanation given?! If they came to see it (which supposedly they did?), the least they could have done was to give me that answer themselves, not me having to chase them down for a simple No, thank you! They were very abrupt and unprofessional.

We have been using Coastal Pools for over 10 years for our home in Avalon NJ. We have been extremely pleased with their responsiveness and their ability to diagnose the problem and source quickly the parts we need to keep our pool up and running. kerry and paul smith

Critical: Quality Last October had brand new hot tub winterized. Opened and because filter was left in tub with water we have been cleaning mold for 2 days. Now it is filled but cloudyy, I don't want to get in that. DO not use!

I have used coastal pools and spa for over three years and have found them to be prompt, courteous and good at what they do. Over the last two months I've had to use them twice and both problems were resolved within days at a fair price I would highly recommend this company

No. This pool company came out to assist us with opening our pool for the season. Charge $295 for simply taking off the cover and doing a very minimal skimming of the pool. They said they would leave notice if there were any problems. When we arrived home that day our Jandy sand filter was pushing out sand into the pool which you could see from looking into the pool at the jets.

The techs did not leave us any notice about this problem. I highly recommend going elsewhere for assistance. We sought help from Klenswite Pools and Spa in Rio Grande NJ since and they have been nothing short of amazing.

Not to trust. He left my pool a disgusting mess. Elliot told me to find another contractor to care for my vacation home pool because all of a sudden Coastal Pool does not service The Conway area, as of June 16, 2019,w ith absolutely NO heads up until I reached out to Elliot after my fiance found the pool in this condition. Unprofessionalism at its best.

I don't post reviews often but after 3+ seasons of repeated carelessness, cursing in my shed wasn't cutting it anymore. -EVERY year after 15 minute($125) pool closing, they place removed jets in skimmer basket, then plastic bag. WITHOUT removing the debris from the basket! -The previous 3+ yrs., they leave o-ring(s) in jet ports prior to plugging for winter. Today, I found two floating in pool. -Last year, the rep. broke off chlorinator knob.(they did fix, the following season) To be fair, the guys that come out are always nice and they do "blow out the lines" which I can't do myself(unless I used the $125 fee & just bought air compressor)

Most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Reportedly fixed a component within a Hayward sand filter and charged around $750. Still didn't work for months, and Coastal said it was my problem. I took the filter apart and the broken component was still inside. They had never even touched it. Owner would not talk with me in spite of multiple calls, and they made sure to keep their payment even though they never did the work and were dishonest about it.
