Services
We no longer have a Customer Rating System on our site, (1 to 5 Stars at the bottom of the page - you know what they look like) as it cost hundreds of dollars a month, so we ran it for a year and here are the comments our customers made (excuse the typos - I have posted them exactly as submitted). Was very impressed!
The following are posts we have found on other web sites talking about the different types of Chemicals used to treat your pool or spa: I am amazed when I see people drinking expensive bottled water, rather than tap water, yet they are sitting beside a chlorine and bromine treated swimming pool. A swim in that pool is much, much worse than drinking chlorinated water, as it has 10 times the number of toxins and carcinogens at thousands of times the levels found in regular tap water. You are the proud owner of a swimming pool and/or a hot tub.
Irritation from Bromine or Chlorine is the number one cause of Spa or Hot Tub Rash. These caustic chemicals burn away the enzymes and body fluids that protect our bodies from inflammation and irritation of our hair follicles. Not everyone is affected, as our physiology differs from person to person.
We deliver to thousands of homes in the U.S. and internationally by mail for the same low price you pay locally. One call and the Natural Spa is on its way, making your life easier, healthier, and a lot more comfortable. It's more than likely that your spa salesman or serviceman has never heard of or used the Natural Spa.

What a great alternative to bromine! Water stayed clean and clear, no odors. Getting to reorder for my upcoming spa season.

Love this stuff! I've been using it for 8 years. Everyone I've told about it has switched over and loves it. Just don't be like Sarah and add Chlorine or bleach to it. That kills the enzymes. She may as well have just dumped the bottle of clarity on the ground. You have to keep all you jets open so that when it breaks down the gross stuff, it can vent into the atmosphere. This is all well explain in the instructions.

Was burnt bad by bromine. Was skeptical of Natural Spa but after talking to Cal a few times I gave it a try. Love this product. I add a bit of bleach every few uses or non chlorine shock here and there but ther water stays clear and no more burns. The product works. Also, dealing with Clarity water products has been awesome. There are not many companies you can call where you can talk to the owner and creator of a product. Cal has been very helpful with any question I have.

Thanks Cal and Clarity Products! I have sent several people to Clarity and all have been very happy with the results. I did try the mineral spa and was not impressed with it but thats just my opinion. Going to order my next batch so Ill be ready to open the tub the first warm day we have.

Updating my previous review: I have been using Mineral Spa for two years in a 300 gallon soft tub. It is a great product but it does require some maintenance. Water quality is excellent with no chlorine or other harsh chemicals as long as you keep your pH and alkalinity in range and your filter clean. Small amounts of potassium peroxymonosulafete (chlorine-free oxidizer also known as MPS shock) are necessary even if the spa is not used a lot.

Even with the use of MPS shock, there has been absolutely no bleaching of the spa or swimsuits. This is a VERY mild water treatment system which is very easy on the skin and mucus membranes. It has no unpleasant smell whatsoever. I occasionally use baking soda to adjust PH and alkalinity. My hot tub has no water jets and very little plumbing so there are not a lot of places for bacteria to hide.

The "massage" feature is driven by an air pump and a lot of small air jets in the liner. Aeration is excellent and I think this helps a lot. I test the water with MPS test strips (for MPS, PH and Alkalinity) every time I open the spa. I aerate the water for 15 minutes and skim the foam every time I add shock. MPS sometimes falls to near zero but I bring it back up to the high range when I shock once or twice a week.

I forcefully wash the filter (and back-flush the pump) every 5 days and occasionally do a deep filter cleaning with Clorox Cleanup. We generally shower before using the spa. Following this routine I have had no problems with unpleasant odors though it is worth mentioning that we only use the spa from September through May. The spa is decommissioned and dried out in the Summer.

I generally do not have to change the water for the 9 months that the spa is in use though I do compensate for evaporation and also add an additional 1/2 ounce of Mineral Spa every two weeks. I go through about a bottle and a half per year including startup. If you are having problems with you spa, call Clarity Water Products. Cal is truly an expert in his field and provides excellent customer service.

I use Natural Spa, Mineral Spa and Potassium Shock because I want to avoid chemicals. I like these products overall but every 2 weeks or so I have to add some bleach to the water to kill the swampy odor. I have tried hydrogen peroxide as recommended but it doesn't help. Supposedly we don't ever have to do that, and you just need to add a little bit of potassium shock to keep the water fresh but that has never worked and I have been using these products for years.

I keep my filter clean and I am the only one who uses the hot tub but the water always gets a funky smell unless I add some bleach to it every 2 weeks or so. I change my water out completely every 3 months. I am not supposed to have to do that, especially since I have very good quality city water. I continue to use these products because they are way better than harsh chemicals but they do not keep your hot tub completely fresh and sanitized by themselves.
