California's Gunite & Pool Plastering

So after the sales person canceled on me two days in a row I call to inquire if there was another sales person whom could do my estimate. The sales manager called me back and was quite rude! She explained there were 3 people. Her 70 miles away, another 100 miles away and Mr. Canceled twice is the closest and only one in my area. She's 69 and can't retire because no one wants to work. Anyways she stated that there are 20 other companies that service my area.

She said this 4 times. Although most companies that service my area only do new installs there are a few that will repair. This sales manager lost the company a possible $30,000+ customer who needs pool and pump!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness Total waste of 3 hours of my time waiting for an estimate. After getting 2 calls that they would be late I finally get a call saying my job was too far to drive to. A professional would have already checked the address to confirm if it was within their acceptable driving distance in advance.

My family! I used to work there and i thank all the members of the family. and friends.for the suport they gave me, i miss working there. El Wuero.

Love them :)) they made my pool amazing i would definitely recommend. probably the best ive seen from all the ones in california. literally they have commitment to finishing your pool asap and care about their customers. Definitely Top Tier work

I recommend Dawnell Lewis as a truly profesional manager! When doing my research and meeting with multiple companies, she was the only representative who brought samples of gunite and tiles and brochures. She offered technical advice and she guided me on what to keep and what to replace on my pool. Very reliable person.

Critical: Quality Do not use this company. These guys are very sloppy. Their finish product is very rough. Their craftsmanship is very poor. After they are done they take off there working gloves and just toss them on the ground for you to pick up. On top of that they like to take your shovels with them. Service: General construction

Although they appeared to have done a good job at the beginning, time told another story. First off, they could never figure out how much I paid. They kept claiming I owed them money and on TWO occasions I had to get cancelled checks from the bank to prove I paid. Then, after they installed pool equipment (in addition to the resurfacing, tile, etc) I found out they were not supposed to do that as was evidenced by me later finding out it was all installed WRONG!

Like really wrong. I had to get the manufacturers reps and a licensed dealer out to repair at great cost to me. Now, the tile is failing - see the pics - and it's only been two years. I would NEVER use these guys again. Anytime I contact them, the just don't return my calls/emails. Check YELP and BBB websites, these guys do NOT have a good rep.

I had the pool done 6 years ago and all went well, no complaints. However, 6 years down the road, I have calcium cracks and calcium modules in the plaster. there is a you tube video that explains that it is plaster defect not water chemistry. I spoke with a very rude woman in the office who said she had 25 years experience but was no help at all. I would not use them again.

I had my pool remodeled by them, they were courteous, on time, and reasonable. My pool is beautiful and we receive many complements. I have referred them to my neighbors who did an extensive remodel with California's Gunite and Pool Plastering and they also love their pool.
