I was so unhappy since few days after the finished our pool, I couldn't believe the designer Robert didn't think of important things like putting the pool equipment in the oposite side of our bedroom, so we can sleep in peace at night, that was the smartest way to do it since the main water on the other side, not behind our bedroom, how he didn't think about that?

Since he designed a lot of pools, this was our first pool and we knew since day one, also they try to act like everything is good when is not, to not use the guarantee for repairs. We still dealing with that. Please find a good company somewhere else. It's a nightmare here.

Cannot say enough about how great the customer service is here. Steve H is our sales person and pool designer. Not only did he design the pool better than we could imagine it would come out, he also took the time to show us every piece of equipment that goes into it. We had 4 quotes from 4 different builders. Blue wave was our last quote and we were so blown away by the whole experience that we didn't even consider going back to the other three.

And the other three builders are the biggest names that you hear about when building a pool. I will definitely be referring Steve and Blue Wave to anyone that needs a recommendation for building a pool

So it has come to me re-writing a review that the owner originally asked me to delete or else he was going to respond with other details. I kindly took my review down, but here we are, several months later and our pool is still not done. From them lying to us about the contract, to them changing our contract without letting us know is just the beginning.

They are very difficult to communicate with and the staff that has come to our house are arrogant and disrespectful. They sub-contract everything out, which is fine, however, the contractors to poor quality work for a $60,000 pool. I have to spend 20 hours myself cleaning up after them by moving debris. I could go on and on and we have tried to speak with employees, but again, they are arrogant and still nothing gets done to our standard, or they just come over when we aren't home and make changes to our design without us knowing.

I have not been more disappointed in a company than BlueWave. As a business owner I would never put a client in this situation. Use them if you want, just be aware they are capable of doing this to you. Update 10/21. After working with the owner again, he was very respectful and is working with us to resolve all of the issues. This definitely makes us feel better about the company.

A little communication goes a long way! Update 1-25-2022 - After dealing with the owner and other employees, this pool company is a joke. They come out and say they fix things, yet don't test them out before they leave. So yet again, the parts still don't work. Also, they send random people over to our house and to reconstruction work without our approval and get upset when we call them. So, buyer beware.

Maybe they are great for some people, but for us, they are a total nightmare of a company. The total lack of respect towards myself and my wife is what's really upsetting. If anyone has specific questions, I'd be happy to give you all of the details as this is only a small portion of what really went on during the past 15 months.

My parents started the build of their pool in March 2021 and they still have not finished. After lots of dates missed and people not showing up when they were scheduled to with no communication on why, unless they called to find out for themselves. My parents have tried to be understanding and they have nothing but excuses, and treated them as though they were being "Karens".

My sister decided to go with presidential pools due to our parents bad experience and she started June and her pool was done in October. My parents have had to find their own vendors and pay extra to get the progress they have currently, this company is very unprofessional and has no solution to their issues just alot of sorry and oh well. I will not be using them for my pool and hope to save other people from my parents pool nightmare.

Blue wave pools did an amazing job on our pool. Our backyard is stunning thanks to them. We quoted 6 pool companies and they brought our ideas for life. The others were just cookie cutter pools. Wendy was absolutely a god sent and walked us through the entire process. Highly recommend them. Services: Plumbing fixture installation, Design, General construction

I didn't get the change to use this company, I called the office to see if I could get consultation schedule back on June 8th 2021 left a message and received a call back June 10th from the sales rep. They stated that the soonest appointment was the beginning of August. I was fine with that I wasn't in a rush or anything. I thought it would be a good idea to see what the company is about since I saw a few neighbors in my neighborhood using them for their pool company.

Well the day for my consultation came and went and I received no call to say they were running late nothing they never showed. My appointment was set for August 3rd 2021 at 5pm. I haven't heard from the company to saying they apologize and I didn't call the company to say anything I let their actions speak for the company meaning that if they can't show up to a simple consultation than they aren't the company I want building a pool for me.

I say actions like that speak volumes on a company. Even after reading the reviews I still took a chance on them. Hopefully they will eventually take these reviews that are written a little more to heart and try to see where the disconnect is happening.

Our pool turned out nicely but there are a lot of details that were not addressed during the build that we'll have to live with now that are unacceptable and communication is a complete joke. Our pool was finished 3 months ago and the pebbletec is uneven, lumpy and already starting to wear away in a couple spots. The coping is ugly and has huge cracks in it already.

The covers on our coping are brown and we did natural concrete finish so they don't match at all (we were told a work order was placed 3 months ago and has never been done). The aerator heads were installed crooked and weren't fixed when I mentioned them during the build. There were multiple occasions that we had to go out and talk to the workers ourselves to clarify build details because again communication is terrible between bluewave and the contractors that are actually doing the build.

I've reached out twice in the 3 months that our pool has been finished and have heard absolutely nothing back, good luck if we ever have a serious issue or need to use our "warranty". I'd say do your research and personally I wouldn't recommend Bluewave to neighbors, friends or family.

It took my husband and I several months to finally settle on a pool company we wanted to design and build our pool. After referrals from our neighbor and friends, we decided to go with BlueWave Pools and Spas. Our first red flag should have been that the original consultant (Robert) from BlueWave "lost our consultation information" and refused to communicate with us on any level.

We tried to reach out via text, calls and eventually we called and spoke to someone at the BlueWave office and ended up working with the owner, John, who was nice and apologetic. Once we were handed off, we have had multiple complaints regarding lack of communication with this company. One of the first things I would expect a pool company to do after drawing up your pool design is to sit you down and explain and refine everything.

A loose timeline of what to expect during the construction process would be nice. Not so with BlueWave. We were emailed the non-descriptive design and construction went on from there. The first thing we noticed is that they put a part of our pool equipment about 10ft away from where the rest of the equipment was located. We had never seen pool equipment separated and so we asked why.

We were told that this part was always located separately to maximize efficiency (just not with our neighbor or friend's pools). The owner explained that they must have paid extra to have it with the rest of the equipment, so we paid $500 to have it moved. My husband asked for a timeline early on and was told that they don't offer timelines. Not such a big deal, but my husband also said he would like to be communicated with when there was to be work done on our pool so we would know when to be home or just expect someone in our yard.

That never happened. Six weeks went by without anyone coming to our home to work on the pool and one day after getting out of the shower, I was greeted by workers in our backyard. STARK NAKED! We don't generally have any need to worry about closing our windows as we don't have anyone who can see into our backyard. BlueWave does not communicate with their customers, contractors or staff.

We had several noncommunication mistakes that have had to have additional action taken. One example is the tile guys were supposed to lay tile around the pool to replicate our existing travertine design. They had laid it in a completely different fashion and had to correct their mistake when they were nearly done. They were also supposed to put in umbrella sleeves.

This was never updated in our plan and so that didn't happen until after all the tile was laid. There are many more things, but Google only allows for so much. In short, we have felt that we have been left in the dark with this whole transaction. My husband has been very active in trying to stay in the loop, but with little to no response, it got to the point to where he was just ready to get this over with.

In speaking with our neighbors, they have said that they felt the exact same way throughout the whole construction period. Save yourself the frustration. Don't go with BlueWave. They are far too busy since this pandemic started to deal with you as a customer and not just a number.

If you're in the market for a pool here in the Phoenix metro area beware. There are many pool contractors willing to build you a pool, but the experience of co-workers and neighbors proved to be a cautionary tale for me. After much research we settled on Blue Wave Pools and have never regretted the decision. John (owner) did a fantastic job of helping to design the pool we wanted.

The price was fair, the construction is rock solid and based on my more knowledgeable pool-owning friends, it's an energy-efficient top-end pool. My wife is thrilled. Also, as his website notes, John personally supervises the construction of each pool. The only bobble was when he was temporarily incapacitated and his sub-contractors were unsupervised. This was the only anomaly in the entire process. Highest recommendation.
