We like the pool a lot - unique design, very nice looking Significant project delays, lots of excuses, bad project management, bad customer service Aquatic Tex built us a very nice looking pool, but I really can’t say anything else good about them. We were told it takes 4-6 weeks to install an in-ground pool, and it took them 4-6 months. They started in September, but didn’t finish until the end of January. It was one excuse after another, including weather and various employee injuries (not related to our project). They installed the wrong tile and had to completely rip it out, and they did irresponsible things like leave the pool water running when they left for the night, so the pool overflowed. My husband was out of town, and I had no idea how to shut it off, as we hadn’t had any pool instruction.
They replaced the sod where the machines came in, but they couldn’t even be bothered to fix the indentation in the yard, so we have an 8” ditch in the backyard where the machines came in. I have since been told that any good contractor would have leveled off the yard before replacing the sod. A year and a half later, our filter died. I called the pool company on a Thursday for service. Five phone calls and 11 days later, the service technician finally came, although he didn’t fix the pool. I am still waiting for someone to show up on day 12 to fix it. We selected Aquatic Tex because they were the lowest bidder by about $5k, they came recommended by a coworker, and they were accredited by the BBB. However, we are very disappointed in them both in terms of their project management and customer service. Would you recommend this business to a friend?
