We recently purchased a house with a pool. As new pool owners, we were feeling a little lost. We asked two different friends who they used for their pool service & they both highly recommended Advance Pool Care. Rafael has been amazing from the very start! He taught us all about our pool equipment & what to look for. Over the last six+ months, Rafael has been incredibly responsive to our questions & addresses issues in a timely & professional manner. Magaly has been performing our weekly maintenance for about three months now and has proven to be extremely detail oriented. Overall great company. Very happy we chose Advance Pool Care!

Mike has been assisting me with my pool service for the last 5 years. Every time something goes wrong mike is very responsive and comes out within a day to diagnose and repair. I couldn't be happier to have him as my pool guy. The last 2 companies before mike where not nearly as committed to quality work and customer service as mike at Advance Pool Care. From start to finish, my contact with the men at Advanced Pool Care was outstanding. I had an emergency, just prior to the close of escrow on the sale of my home. Raphael reacted quickly to my request for help, making an evaluation, suggestions on other safety concerns and scheduled the repair for the following day. First thing, the next day, Mike showed up to fix the problem.

After reviewing with him the situation he proceeded efficiently and professionally to the problem. He did an excellent job, in a short time, charging exactly what had been estimated. I can now turn over the keys to the house with a clean pool, ready for a swim by the new owners. Thank you Raphael and Mike for helping me out, big time!

Advance pool care has been treating my pool for the past two weeks. They have been absolutely incredible. Our pool went from a green algae mess, to sparkling clean in just days. Advanced Pool Care has been extremely responsive, both in person and online. They are providing pool maintenance services and installed a new pool control system and pool sweep. Their followup has been extensive and frequent. We would recommend them without reservation.

Had a new pool pump, filter, and salt system installed years ago. Work was done efficiently and at a decent price. We thought a salt system was a good idea and it was recommended by this company, but am now regretting that decision. The salt cell has died twice the last 5 years and new cells are expensive. We recently had another pool company over to look at our old booster pump when they identified old cooper pipes coming out of the ground as part of our pool plumbing.

They said a salt system should have never been installed because it corrodes those pipes and causes the copper to leach into the pool water and discolor it. Not sure why this was not identified and considered by this company. Hoping it was an honest mistake but thinking they wanted to make more money off installing the salt system. Now we need to get rid of this salt system. Expensive mistake.

Excellent pool service and super professional. A local Danville company. If I call with any pool equipment issues and if I need prompt help, they always send someone over right away to check the situation. Anything that needs fixed they get on the schedule in a timely manner. The owner Mike is very personable and and so helpful with any questions I have. I'm a novice when it comes to pools so he's super patient with his explanations

My 17 year old pool heater finally died. I posted a request on Yelp. Advance Pool Care responded within hours with a personal phone call. They came to diagnose the next business day and replaced the heater two days later, five days start to finish with a weekend in the middle. I would not hesitate to call them again for any pool equipment issues.

Worked with Mike from Advance Pool Care. Very professional and frank in his advice. Installed a pump and a filter for me and did a great job. Am a newb to pools (came with the home I bought) - and he has been helpful, telling me what to do and what not to. He is now on my speed dial for pool related items now - that should say it all.

I have been using them Advanced Pool Care for more than a year for pool solar winterization and spring start. Mike and his team is very professional. It is very easy to schedule as Mike is very responsive. He has good availability. His team is very professional and operate safely during COVID. Last week when Mike did my winterization he also took care of the settings in the Aqualink app!

Always delivers beyond expectation! I find them reasonably priced too! I found Mike very honest! Last year when I was also considering him for regular pool cleaning he realized that he could not match the price of my existing pool cleaner. Without bad mouthing them, he recommended me to stay with them given the price difference! I would recommend this company for any of your pool care needs!

I have had Advance Pool Care do my weekly pool care and my repairs for a few years now. My pool water always looks good. I have had them replace the pump, diagnose and fix plumbing issues and algae blooms and more. I have been extremely satisfied and I can highly recommend them.

Rafael is go to guy for pool service, he helped us install new filter, circuit board and couple of pool cleaning services. Received great service all the times and his prices are reasonable.

- Update: Replying to Michael, the business owner - It's pretty clear by your cold reply that you're addressing your Yelp audience to make sure you're in the right - and not really understanding why a customer was disappointed. There is no need to be condescending to me by explaining how a business works by saying, "I would hope that you understand anytime you ask for a service repair company to drive to your house and do repairs that it shouldn't be free." First, as I said in my original review, of course, I'm happy to pay for service repairs, why would a business do it for free. Second, the story didn't play out exactly how you mentioned.

I hope it would have been clear I didn't cancel the service over $95, that specific incident was the last straw. 1. If Rafael had told me over the phone that he will take $95 to twist in the pool sweep back, I would have done it myself. Do you really think a pool professional is needed for such a small job? We spoke on the phone because the wall fitting was broken - after I was told it was fixed - and I wanted to clarify this.

I used my own wall fitting part afterward. 2. I got on the solar shutdown/startup list. After a few days, I received an email from Vivian saying I was not on the list. This is after she confirmed I was. Finally, she said she thought I was someone else. Then, when the time came, they told me they don't have a tall enough ladder. I had to scramble and search for another company last minute. 3.

I received two bills every month, I don't know why it seemed like a copy, I was charged only once. This is unnecessary and I had to keep track if I had been charged twice. 4. No one told me my salt cell was clogged and needed cleaning. Just like I was alerted about the twice-a-year filter cleaning, salt addition, etc, I wasn't informed about this. 5.

Once I had asked a simple question about my water level, just to make sure the guy on my route checked it out if it seemed right. I wanted to know if the water level was too high or too low. But nope, you wanted money to "send a professional" for this. 6. The guy on my route informed me they were instructed not to speak to customers so every LITTLE thing had to go through your "professionals" - seriously?

You want to send a professional to inspect if my skimmer basket has a crack? 7. Yes, I stopped the service 9 months back but I'm not sure how that's relevant to the review. Judging by your cavalier reply and your attempt to make me look like I'm the one who is the crazy Karen, I'm not surprised your employees act like this. All I wanted was a pool company who would tell me what needs repair and when so I didn't have to worry about pool problems. - ORIGINAL REVIEW - Extremely disappointed with the way they conduct business, especially after reading all these glowing reviews.

I soon realized they were all about the money and there was zero customer service, friendliness, or warmth. They refuse to talk about any issues over the phone because they want to come in-person and charge a service fee. Even for the smallest things, they flat-out refused to give me any advice over the phone. Rafael charged me $100 for a 30-second job of twisting-in the pool sweep in the wall socket when it came out.

Every business has the right to earn money - and they should - but maybe balance it out a bit and don't bulldoze me over by charging me hundreds for the simplest things. The billing system is also a bit confusing and I had to keep an eye on it to avoid being charged for things I didn't use.

They don't pick up the phone or follow up on requests from their website. I tried at least 15 times last week.

Had a leak in my pool equipment. Quick response, great communicator, could not be more satisfied with the work Mike did to fix my pool equipment. Would call again.

Let me make this really easy for everyone! Rafael came out to my house in the height of the corona fear. Helped my family and I get our pool heater working. Yes his company cleans my pool but apparently he offers much more value than just that! Today Rafael responded to my text at 8am on a Sunday. Advance pool care customer service is 100. It is real not a pretender or just a talker! Hard to find that is for sure. Major props and thank you. Hire him! Dont stop doing what you do.

After many years, right before swim season, my pool filter ceased operating. Advance Pool Care was the first company to respond to my request for a quote. The person who came to my house was very honest about what he could and couldn't do, and provided options that helped me save money, telling me exactly what I needed and didn't need vs. the overselling I received from other quotes on the same filter replacement. I would hire this company again without hesitation.

I researched several companies before choosing Advance Pool Care. They had the best prices for our Pentair pool heater and installation and WARRANTY for parts and labor. Mike did the install and is very knowledgeable. He recommended a different hose attachment and the automation system which brings everything up to code.

Came on time and figured out all my spa gas heater needed was blowing out the air ducts for spiders etc. showed me how to do it so I can self manage in the future. Good service and very helpful.

Amazing service and attention to detail. Recently bought a house and needed a pool service established. After making several calls I was able to get in contact with Rafael with Advance pool care. He quickly was able to come inspect my pool and system, offered a reasonable quote and was able to begin the same week. Within 2 weeks pool was crystal clear and balanced.
